Bhagwant Mann bows before the Khalistanis

Punjab is the most crucial border state of India. The state is being challenged both externally and internally. Concentrating on the latter, the state has often borne witness to pro-Khalistan propaganda, which is dampening the state even further. To put a cherry on top, the Punjab state government has now started supporting the anarchist leaders, leading the land into a dilapidated state.

AAP supporting Khalistan

In a recent decision, the Punjab roadways abrogated the order to remove pictures of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, and Jagtar Singh Hawara among other Sikhs, and Wordings from Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), Patiala buses.

This pronouncement came in the aftermath of controversies encircling the state-run roadways buses. Various public transport buses were found with posters of the killed Khalistani extremist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and others. In response, on 6 July, the PRTC’s Executive Engineer-cum-Nodal officer ordered the removal of these pictures by saying that they can “disturb the peace.”

PRTC’s roadways bus transit is under the maintenance of the state government. Thus, it clearly proves that the Bhagwant Mann led government is overtly backing the radical leaders.

The open acceptance of the terrorists through posters is just another incident among the long-continued support given to the Khalistani’s by the Punjab state government. Apparently, it can be evident that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supports Khalistani ideology, while demanding a separate nation for Sikhs.

Recurrent support to the dividers of India

The state with a maximum Punjabi population has time and again been encompassed with Khalistani supporters. One of its instances recently came into the limelight after Sangrur MP, Simranjit Singh Mann of Shiromani Akali Dal, went on a separatist rant by saying that there will be no nuclear war in South Asia if Khalistan gets into independent existence.

In another incident on 13 July, a horendous decision was taken about alteration in the Punjab university course. It was after the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) highlighted the removal of objectionable content from the syllabus of Punjabi university, where Bhindranwale was termed as a ‘terrorist’.

As reported extensively by TFI, the efforts by SGPC have often been anti- India. The organization came up with the decision to install a portrait of killed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Balwinder Singh Jatana at the Central Sikh Museum in the Golden Temple complex, in Amritsar.

Indeed, these are condemnable incidents that contribute to the embarrassment of India as a democratic, united, and diverse country. The so-called Aam Aadmi Party, which literally means a party of the people, is providing a backbone to the separatist ideologies of Khalistan.

Kejriwal: the promoter of Khalistan

A party functions as per the footprints laid down by its leader. This formula was followed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as well. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal has often been a part of controversies centred on him as an ally of Khalistan.

In February 2022, a renowned poet Kumar Vishwas alleged that the AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal wants “to become the Prime Minister of Independent Khalistan,” without taking his name. Apart from this, the AAP chief was also seen meeting separatist elements during the 2017 Punjab Assembly polls.

In another occurrence, just a few days before the Punjab Assembly Polls 2022, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party was under the clutches of trouble. Controversy erupted with the alleged connection of the party leader with a terror outfit of ‘Sikhs For Justice’ (SFJ).

As reported previously by TFI, National Investigation Agency (NIA) in December, last year found that Sikhs for Justice had been propagating anti-India sentiments within the Sikh community serving in the Indian Army to engineer a mutiny.

Punjab in danger

Time and again, there have been attempts centred at inflicting India with perceptions of separatism. Organizations like SJF and SGPC are overtly attempting to undermine the security of the Indian state by instigating mutiny among the Sikh population of the country.

It is almost impossible to drive out secession ideologies when the regulators of the state are themselves supporting the radical extremists. What can be more traitorous to a united country than its own states propagating separatism?

Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, being the authoritarians are posing a clear danger to the five river state by supporting terrorism, whether directly or indirectly. Connecting it with the latest induction of Raghav Chadha in the already dilapidated state will only upswing the notion of Khalistan being the most loyalist aide of Kejriwal.
