As a result, it was the first Indian film to be released exclusively on a streaming service. In April 2019, the film was presented at the Beijing International Film Festival in China.

Tiwari grew up in Matunga, Mumbai, in a family of doctors. In the local Ganpati and Navratri festivals, he began acting in modest roles in Marathi theatre.
