Aidan Moore Whytock was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, to Ron and Bonnie Whytock. Aidan grew up in Singapore, the son of a professional pilot. He was sent to an English boarding school as a teenager, where he discovered his passion for drama. Aidan studied Social Anthropology at the University of Cape Town after deciding he didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a master’s degree in Enterprise Management.
Activities as a student
He was Vice-Chair of the famed UCT RAG organization, which managed the city’s largest student parties and fund-raisers to generate funds for charity. One of the world’s largest breweries approached him and offered him a job.

Aidan had a busy year in 2016, winning prizes for Best Director and Best Producer and appearing in feature films such as Dagba (2017), 24 Hours to Live (2017), and the new grind-house series Blood Drive (2017), as well as No Man Left Behind (2017). (2016).
His first feature picture, The Actor, received a nationwide theatrical release in his own country.
The Choice, which won the Mercedes-Benz Bokeh International Fashion Film Festival in 2015, was directed by him.
