Is Bengal becoming the new terror factory after Kerala?

Mamata the communist wolf in the sheep clothing

  • 200 bombs have been recovered from the place located a few kilometres away from the Birbhum burning site
  • Mamata’s promotion of Islamists has given rise to terror incidents in the state
  • You can not improve a criminal by sending him to a clean locality, instead, he/she will pollute your locality

Theoretically, Communists and Islamists are poles apart. One group considers religion as the opium of the masses, while another kills in the name of religion. However, when it comes to spreading terrorism, both are on equal footing. The people of Kerala and Bengal are well aware of this harsh truth.

Bombs recovered in Bengal

It seems that charring people to death in Birbhum is just a snapshot of what may happen in Bengal in the next few months. Evidence suggests that Bengalis need to prepare for a flurry of violence coming their way.

Days after Birbhum became the latest battleground for the goons hell-bent on destroying Bengal, the place is in news for the storage of Bombs. 200 bombs have been recovered from Margram Chhotadangal Para of Hansan Assembly constituency in Rampurhat’s 2nd block. Rampurhat falls within the boundaries of the Birbhum district.

More violence in Bengal?

According to reports available in the public domain, these bombs were put in 6 barrels. Moreover, the place where these bombs have been recovered is located just a few kilometres away from the area where 8 people were burned to death. A report by Economic Times also indicates that these kinds of Bombs were hurled onto the house which led to the fire and eventually death of those who were inside.

Law and order scenario in the state is so bad that Mamata Banerjee, whose party cadre thrives on violence recently ordered a 10-day operation to throw out illegal arms and ammunition from the state.

However, there is little to zero possibility that the situation is going to improve in Bengal. The main reason behind this pessimist assumption is that Mamata’s advent to power in the state has been full of bloodshed. Her party cadre has been infamous for killing their political rivals in ways unacceptable in any modern society.

Political killings in Bengal and Police apathy

The pain of post/pre-poll violence incidents in 2021 assembly elections haunts the people of the state. Before polls, party workers were killed in Taliban-esque style. A lot of political workers connected to RSS and BJP has been killed in broad daylight by the goons. Despite creating so much fear, TMC did win the election, but Mamata herself lost her seat. Moreover, the margin of TMC’s victory was significantly less.

Even after the elections, goons did not stop. Non-stop rapes, murders were committed in the aftermath of results. People had nowhere to go as Bengal Police under the Mamata administration was either helpless or were in close cahoots with the terrorists.

Finally, the Calcutta High Court ordered NHRC to probe the violence. NHRC in its report revealed that a very large number of complaints had been received, close to 2,000, from 23 districts. Roughly 35% of the complaints were related to homicide or murder and 4% to rape.

Mamata’s appeasement politics costing Bengal heavily

The main reason behind the sprawling of violence in Bengal is the advent of Islamists from neighbouring Bangladesh. The main pillar of Mamata Banerjee’s election campaign is the appeasement of Muslims for which she relies on providing legitimacy to illegal Bangladeshis in the state. Mamata Banerjee knows that locals are not very supportive of her, so she brings in illegal immigrants and grants them favourable treatments along with citizenship. Later these illegal migrants become a loyal voter base for the party which brought them in (TMC in this case).

However, things rarely turn out the way you think. Recently, a young muslim leader Anis Khan was killed by four people in the wee hours of the night. This incident snatched a huge chunk of Islamists’ support from Mamata. Even the recent Birbhum violence owes its origin to the killing of a muslim panchayat leader named Bhadu Sheikh.

Deja Vu Kerala

The people of Bengal are living in terror. Their pain can only be understood by the people of Kerala, who have been suffering under the left for decades.  Ironically, the Communist government in Kerala has given so much support to Islamists that the massacre of Hindus has become a common sight in Kerala. Moreover, the state holds an unfortunate distinction of sending maximum numbers of Indians to ISIS.

It is an old saying that if you pick a homeless drug addict from the road and give him a free apartment, he won’t leave his drug habit. Instead, the addict will bring drugs to the apartment and will become a danger to others living in the neighbourhood. This is exactly what has happened in Kerala, West Bengal.
