Vikas Sharma was an Indian Journalist who worked as a news anchor with Republic Bharat. He is known for his prime time show Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hain. He was born and brought up in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Career of Vikas Sharma
He began his career as an announcer with All India Radio in 2004. (AIR).
In 2005, he began working as an assistant producer for S1 Corporation, a software firm, where he stayed for two years.
Later, in 2006, he worked as a producer and correspondent for the news station TV 100.
He left TV 100 in 2008 to work as a producer for Total TV, where he stayed for a year.
He later became a news anchor for Sadhna News in December 2008.
He left Sadhna News in March 2011 to work as a news anchor for Janata TV for one year and two months.
He began working as a news anchor for India News in 2012, and stayed for over two years.
He later joined Samachar Plus as an anchor-cum-producer in March 2014.
In 2019, Vikas Sharma started working as a news anchor at ARG Outlier Media Private Limited (Republic Bharat). He was the host of the prime time show of Republic Bharat- Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hain. Republic Bharat, sometimes known as R. Bharat, is a free-to-air Indian far-right Hindi-language news station that began broadcasting on February 2, 2019. Republic Bharat’s owner and editor-in-chief is Arnab Goswami. It can also be found on DD Free Dish. It is Republic World’s sister channel, and it largely transmits news in English.

Death
Vikas Sharma died in Noida’s Kailash Hospital on February 4, 2021. He had been receiving COVID-19 treatment for a few days, according to reports. Arnab Goswami, managing director and editor-in-chief of Republic Media Network, later lauded Vikas Sharma’s reporting manner on Republic Bharat’s prime time show.
Republic TV editor Arnab Goswami has said that it is a big loss for his news network. Many eminent personalities have also condoled the death of Vikas Sharma.
