Founder of Livefist

Shiv Aroor is a journalist and author from India. He works for India Today as an editor and anchor (TV channel). He has also worked as a defence journalist, reporting from combat zones such as Kashmir, Sri Lanka, and Libya. He also operates the livefistdefence.com defense website, which he created in 2007 and was named a winner in the 2012 and 2013 DefenceIQ Blogging Awards in the category Regional Defense Blog.

He is a graduate of St Stephen’s College in Delhi and a post-graduate in international journalism from Cardiff University. In 2017, he published the fictional novel Operation Jinnah. He co-wrote India’s Most Fearless in 2018 and the sequel in 2019. Over 40,000 copies of the first portion were sold.

He is also an author of the book Operation Jinnah (2017) and Co-Authored India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes (2018), India’s Most Fearless 2: More Military Stories of Unimaginable Courage and Sacrifice (2019), Co-authored with Rahul Singh.
