Kamal Haasan’s derogatory depiction of Mahadev can never be forgiven

In the past few years, Kamal Haasan has been trying to impose his half-researched pseudo-secular views on gullible masses. However, his on-screen roles have long been depicting Hindus’ Bhagwans in a derogatory way. He did not even spare Mahadev for his anti-Hindu propaganda.

Kamal Haasan inspired Kambakkht Ishq

In 2002, a film named Pammal K. Sambandam was released in Tamil Language. It was a comedy film helmed by Moulee. Kamal Haasan played the protagonist in the movie. The film was quite popular and a box-office hit. After witnessing a positive response from the audience, the movie was remade in Hindi and was titled Kambakkht Ishq, a 2009 Bollywood movie starring Akshay Kumar.

Bhagwan Shiv is insulted in the movie

In one of the scenes available on YouTube, Kamal Haasan is directly insulting Bhawan Shiv. The sequence depicts Kamal Haasan’s character trying to shoot a scene in which he is playing the role of Bhagwan Shiv. Along with him, the co-actress is sitting as Mata Parvati. The scene is supposed to depict both Bhagwan and Bhagwati sitting on Kailash Parvat.

Snake around Bhagwan Shiv Ji’s neck is gross-misrepresentation

However, the scene turned out to be a complete mockery of both. The sequence shows Kamal Haasan uttering some dialogues while he is dressed up as Mahadev. In one scene, it shows the snake surrounding Kamal Haasan’s snake is making some disturbing movements.

Since he was dressed up as Bhagwan Shiv, it came off as a massive insult to Bhagwan himself. The snake around Bhagwan’s neck, never ever goes against his wishes. The serpentine is actually a symbol of surrender to Bhagwan’s wishes.

Ganga water is shown as turbulent

Similarly, the water of river Ganga flowing through Shiv Ji’s head is wayward and holds no resemblance whatsoever to the real meaning. The reason the Ganga river passes through Shiv Ji’s Jata (hair) is that Jata streamlines the flow of the river and provides a proper direction to it.

Bhagwan Shiv Ji has been shown as volatile

The scene peddles more insult to Hindus’ beloved Bhagwan. Shiv Ji is shown as chewing gums and having uncontrolled movement of heads. In reality, he is a role model for stoicism being promoted in modern times as a Masculine trait.

Kamal Haasan has a history of insulting Hinduism

This is not the first time, Kamal Haasan has insulted Hinduism. As extensively reported by TFI, ever since his political ambitions became crystal clear, he has been trying to follow the secular playbook to garner public support. He has been responsible for promoting falsified agenda of Hindu terrorism in the south Indian state. Similarly, his illogical rants on the Hindi language have invited criticism from all sorts of public personalities.

Kamal Haasan or any politician should realise that the only way someone could gain respect in India is by integrating Mata Laxmi and Mata Saraswati. Just fame and money won’t give them legitimacy. Kamal Haasan’s derogatory depiction of Mahadev is something that can never be forgiven.

Sorry but this article is too rash in its judgement. I know the scene you are talking about and he does not insult lord Shiva in anyway.

The character that he plays in the movie is about a brash stubborn stuntman who has a heart of gold but deeply distrusts the concept of marriage and blindly trusting women ( red pilled) and has a aversion to them. Infact in the movie at an earlier scene he says that his character is a devout hanuman bhakt and has sworn to be a celibate.

The scene in question is basically a parody on actors and actresses and the situtations that happen at the film studio where he is casted as the lead role of lord Shiva for a movie only because he is not scared of snakes but since he is a stuntman he is not able to act.

That scene was written by Crazy Mohan who is a gem of a person and an amazing comedy writer who has not done a single malicious joke in his entire life. Which is why he is a legend in Tamil Cinema.

Kamal is a left leaning centerist with some communist ideology qnd he can be a motor mouth and say stupid stuff at times. However on this particular incident it doesn’t apply

Shyam You are right that this scene is a parody and most Hindus do have a sense of humor, but most Hindus get upset with such parody because the actor is not an equal offender. Will he make such parody scenes casting a role of Muhammad or Jesus Christ? If he does not have the guts to do that, he should not do this parody either.

  2. Shyam says:

Even the chewing gum scene is because Kamal’s character in the scene cannot act and keeps muffing up the dialogue. So the director tells him that chew on this gum and he will get a dubbing artist to do voice overs but because Kamal’s character is so bad at acting he starts blowing bubbles.

Honestly the entire scene is quite funny you guys just missed the point and wrote this article on some assumption which is actually baseless.

Read the comments of Josh , Krispree, and Schuster and answer their main question- Will Haasan parody actors dressed as the Prophet or Christ ? If the answer is YES, then he can be excused ( Parodies can be considered funny if they are done without fear or favour, but not if only one religious group is targeted and then mocked as intolerant if they protest against this blatant discrimination). At least in the first case, he won’t be alive to make any more movies and get accolades from the phony liberals. In the second case it will lead to articles in NYT and WP about the criminal Modi govt. abusing minorities and persecuting them . So don’t adopt a condescending attitude to ridicule Hindus who protest against discrimination. The long , brutal rule of invaders has made us DHIMMIS. Can you name one country in the world that discriminates against the majority community using ambiguous constitutional provisions ,only to provide privileges for minorities in the name of phony secularism to please western ” intellectuals” ?

This sounds very much like you are digging around to see what you can call ‘anti-hindu’, or insulting to our Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Though a stout Hindu who believes in God, I found the scene to be hilarious. That he was dressed up as Lord Shiv is completely irrelevant. As said by Shyam this is more a parody on actors than on any other entity.

I would strongly suggest that refrain from these random acts of digging around for articles to publish with you rightists agenda. Though I do like your article, sometimes you seem to get carried away and resort to inventing noise where none exist.

One of the profound features of Hinduism is that anyone can talk to God in any language he wants. That is more like venting out your anger and frustration. This happens every minute in the 1000s of temples around the country. What are you going to do? Chastise everyone and, if that does not work, call him a anti-national and anti-Hindu?

This is a free country. Unless someone is wantonly working against something that can proven in a court of law, the person is innocent. Artist, particularly, act on the instructions of the script, directors, and producers. The depiction of humans fighting or even making fun of Hindu Gods has been around for a very long time. For heaven’s sake, do not instigate some idiotic person somewhere to use your writing as a weapon.

Please grow up and be careful of what you write.

There’s a lot of difference between innocuous satire, healthy criticism & deliberate intentional sacrilege. While the former 2 are perfectly fine in the context of freedom of expression, the latter is definitely not, especially if it’s by left liberal communists, cryptos & periyaar fundamentalists (wrt Tamil films) who abuse only the Hindu religion while giving other abrahamic religions a free pass. While yester year tamil movies were mostly tolerable, that can’t be said about the current movies being churned out. Movies like mookuthi amman were pure propaganda while those like sarapatta parambarai by the hateful pa ranjit types abused hindu identities deliberately even with zilch context. And movies like surarai pottru or jai bhim were periyaar fundamentalist propaganda crap distorting the real life characters & incidents heavily.

TN film industry has been hijacked by periyaar fundamentalists & crypto rice bags. Therefore it’s only obvious more of their movies will indulge in brazen abuse of Hindu religion & identities. Making them suffer severe backlash, slapping cases against them & giving mass negative reviews is the only way to keep this menace in check.

It’s time we Hindus understand the lakshman rekha between healthy satire, criticism & wanton abuse & sacrilege of our religion & culture and respond accordingly.

Parody ! Can you imagine Haasan or any other great director using an actor dressed as the Prophet or Christ to parody other actors ? Whom are you kidding and do you think all Hindus are Dhimmis. Read my reply to Shyam and if you are a “grown up person” be honest enough to answer the question posed to him.

  4. krispree says:

I agree with the other comments. I don’t know about the hindi remake, perhaps the scenes had shown such a depiction with no context or a different context. The Tamil version, however, didn’t really mean any sacrilege based on the context. The Tamil version came out in the 2000’s, at a time when Hinduism & Hindu murthis didn’t suffer from deliberate wanton sacrilege like they suffer now in most tamil movies dished out by periyaar fundamentalists & missionary rice bags!

As for Kamal Hassan, I was an ardent fan of him & his acting between 20-30yrs until I began to see through his fake atheism & fake feminism! In reality he was never a true atheist denouncing all religions equivalently or a true feminist bcos of the way he treated his 1st wife.

He appears more like a left liberal communist, a periyaar fundamentalist because of his constant bashing of Brahmins & Hindu religion alone while giving other abrahamic religions a free pass. It’s also possible he’s a closeted rice bag; his elder brother Charu Hassan is a rice bag convert and Kamal’s political party received a number of donations from christian groups. Also it’s a public secret how many cryptos have historically infested the TN film industry, as early as the 60’s! Most film artists, who struggled financially were vulnerable targets for missionary rice bags eventually becoming cryptos. In all probability, Kamal was a similar target given how much debt ridden he has been historically.

Today unfortunately the TN film industry is increasingly infested with artists who are periyar fundamentalists or rice bag cryptos and therefore have been abusing Hinduism, Hindu murthis & Hindus in their movies with patronage from the DMK patriarch family members (maran brothers) who have once again monopolized the TN film industry.

Therefore it would be more meaningful for TFI to review the current generation of Tamil movies for any deliberate abusive content pertaining to Hindu ecosystem.

The most atrocious attack on Hinduism in recent times in TN was through the periyaar fundamentalist karupaar kootam gang that abjectly abused the iconic devotional song ‘Kandha Sashti Kavasam’ composed on Lord Murugan desecrating it with unpardonable sexual innuendos! That too under the patronage of DMK goons!

Tamilnadu never votes for any Hindi speaking party. Not sure if that is out of fear of Tamil facing threats from Hindi or simply hatred. But, one thing is for sure, the citizens of Tamilnadu must realise, it will become another Kerala with the high rate of conversions to Christianity in particular and compete with Islam who are none better. Periyar the pervert and his followers rule within DMK. They will leave no stone unturned to propagate Periyars agenda in the state for which the fear of Tamil language losing to Hindi is the best form of self defense. Through this, DMK has literally kept Modi and BJP away from heart and minds of the people. Wait another 30 years and you will see how the state faces demographic issues of all kinds. At the end of all this, you need to understand that it is the freedom and liberty which Sanatan gives, is enjoyed by minority in this country. Imagine otherwise and Kamal Hasan playing a Mohammed or Jesus, Mary, even if it is fun, unintentional, popping some cigarette or blowing bubble gum, the days would be numbered on planet earth.

It’s because of the dravidian ideology and to it’s characteristics are the same as those of the person who propounded it; the goon named përïyäär, a rank racist, sexist, casteist, communal, secessionist & a pedophilic pervert who hijacked the platform of social reform in TN. As a matter of fact he wasn’t even tamilian by birth but a kannadiga who called tamilians as barbarians & the language of Tamil as barbaric. He was patently racist because of his hatred for Hindi belt which he assumed was freeloading and a drain on resources, he was patently sexist & casteist who hated the SC/ST community making unpardonable comments of rising inflation being due to the reason that women belonging to the SC/ST began to wear blouses (LoL! Really?) and of course his hatred for Brahmins was such that he advocated Hitler style of holocaust against the community, he was patently secessionist with zilch devotion, love & patriotism towards his homeland with his loyalty lying at the feet of the British, he was a British stooge who was dead against independence, who supported the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by the British and who desired for a dravidistan post independence, he was patently communal contrary to his fake propaganda of being an atheist, with his open attacks on only Hinduism, Hindu murthis, Hindu culture & Hindus, he was anything but a feminist, a rank misogynist who was ready to even hire a group of thugs to molest his own wife if it would prevent her from visiting Hindu temples and renounce the Hindu religion altogether and last but definitely not the least, he was a patently perverted pedophile who at the ripe age of 80 married his adopted daughter of 16yrs! It’s impossible to find the worst of all personalities embodied in a single individual!

And that in short describes the ideology of the Dravidian movement sowed by the goon that has been infesting TN for almost 60+ yrs coupled with growing fundamentalism & extremism of islam & christianity in the state!

It’s an extremely challenging task to remove this cancer for good. Possible but will take many years…

Well, we Hindus should be like Talibans. We should have sense of humour and take this scene as a joke. But the problem in India is despite hindus generousity, Cinema stars and politicians mock hindus as extremists while praise other religions. That is the problem.

This is by far the stupidest thing I have seen on the internet. The entertainment history has trolled all subject matter indiscriminately for years. Religious morons have never historically, as proven by this, even in current day ever stand for anything productive.

For the record, I am familiar with the scene, you guys have literally misses the point.

Where is your outage for child rape, misogyny, resist, homophobic, and classicist practises that actually are harmful to fellow human. Thats right religious nut jobs are the ones advocating for it.

Yet to see y’all get your underwater in a knot over a comedy scene in a movie, is hilarious. Get a life. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
