Kerala government’s negative discrimination towards Hindus does not seem to end. After promoting Islamists among the common populace in the state, the Communist government is now imposing a virtual Jizya tax on Hindu government officials for their devotion towards the Sabarimala pilgrimage.
Vijayan government threatens Hindus with a pay cut for adhering to their practices:
Vijayan government has effectively issued a threatening message to government employees for their loyalty towards Sanatan Dharma. In an order dated 30th November 2021, the state government warned its employees of a pay cut if they wish to visit Sabarimala Mandir. According to the details available in the public domain, the Palakkad district fire and rescue office was the first government department to order a pay cut for its employees.
Government order plainly means that any Hindu officer found sporting a beard will be assumed to be keeping it for a 41-day Vrat which is held by Hindu devotees wishing to visit Sabarimala. They will have to incur a fine which is almost equal to half of their monthly salary.

Before visiting Sabarimala, devotees observe a tough 41-day long Vrat. During the Vrat, Vratis remain celibate, shun non-veg food, eat only self-cooked or clean vegetarian food, and visit temples every day before sunrise. They are required to sleep on the floor. For a long period of 41 days, they are not allowed to trim their hair or shave their beard.

Reduction in paycheque is a variation of Islamic Jizya on Hindus:
This comes off as a huge attack on the religious and fundamental rights of Hindu government employees in the state. In fact, this is a variation of the Jizya tax applied on Hindus by various Islamists during their forced tyrannical rule in India. Jizya tax is a tax imposed by Islamists on the practitioners of other religions, especially Hindus. During Islamic rule, Hindus were ordered to either convert to Islam or pay Jizya tax to stay alive. Aurangzeb, who has been touted as a secular king by the left-liberal cabal was one of the key exponents of the Jizya tax.
Kerala-a hub of anti-Hindu Islamists:
Under the communist regime, Kerala has become a hub of Islamic terrorism in the country. The minority appeasement tactics by the communist government have ended up radicalising the religious landscape in the state. Most of the Indian Muslims who have flocked to join ISIS belong to Kerala. Similarly, college campuses have become a centre of anti-Hindu and anti-India activity in the state. In fact, the Kerala government itself tried to paint Sabarimala, a specifically Hindu Mandir as a secular one, effectively advocating for Islamists’ entry inside the premises.

In the blind race of gaining votes through minority appeasement, the Kerala government has forgotten that Hindus are humans too. They also have their rights under the constitution of India. Any attempt to infringe on Hindus’ rights will end up delegitimising the government and party as it is being witnessed by the Congress party.
