A few days back, An ASI of CISF from Odisha grabbed all the attention of the media for stopping Bollywood actor Salman Khan at Mumbai Airport. The CISF Jawan had stopped the Superstar to ask him to complete the mandatory security check. Afterwards, several media houses reported that the CISF Jawan is being penalized for the incident. But in a major blow to these media houses, the CISF officer has been ‘suitably rewarded’ for following security protocol at the airport and isn’t in trouble.
A video went viral on social media on August 20 that showed Salman Khan arriving at the airport to travel to Russia, where he is currently shooting for Tiger 3. As Salman tried to enter the airport terminal, the CISF Personnel, with extreme honesty towards his work, asked him to stop and gestured to first get clearance from the security checkpoint.
Soon after the video came out, the fans started appreciating the CISF Personnel for his actions on social media. Meanwhile, a recent New Indian Express report observed that another CISF Personnel had told the media house that the officer’s phone had been seized to prevent him from talking to the media.
New Indian Express reported, “CISF has seized the mobile phone of ASI Somnath Mohanty of Rayagada for talking to a media organization based out of Odisha after stopping Salman while he was entering the airport.” It also quoted the statement of another CISF Personnel that says, “The mobile phone of Mohanty has been seized as he interacted with the media and it is a breach of protocol. His mobile phone was seized to ensure he is not able to speak with the media further about the incident.”
Refuting the claims, The CISF took to Twitter to respond to the report and wrote, “The contents of this tweet are incorrect & without factual basis. In fact, the officer concerned has been suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism in the discharge of his duty. @PIBHomeAffairs.”

Salman Khan is armed with a loyal fanbase but if one takes a closer look at Salman’s filmography, he’s the actor who puts in the least amount of work and gets the most amount of money. In addition to that, Being Human is just an elaborate PR initiative started by Salman Khan in 2009 when his acting career started to resurrect, and he needed to shed his old masochist bad-boy image.
However, Salman Khan needs to learn dedication towards the work and professionalism from CISF Jawan, who recently has set an example for others and taught all the celebrities a lesson to stick by the rules as well.
