Salary of PO in Bank of Baroda – For 2021 (Updated)

What is the Bank Of Baroda PO Salary?

For individuals with less than one year of experience to seven years of experience, the average Bank Of Baroda Probationary Officer (PO) salary in India is 6.8 lakhs. The compensation of a probationary officer at Bank Of Baroda ranges from 5 lakhs to 8 lakhs. Salary estimates are based on 16 salaries obtained from Bank Of Baroda employees.

Bank of Baroda Manipal PO’s gross compensation (Salary) is roughly Rs. 43000/-, with a net salary of Rs. 37000/-. POs are assimilated into the Rs. 23700-980×7/30560-1145×2/32850-1310×7/42020 pay scale. That means, a newly hired PO will start with a basic pay of Rs. 23700/- and will receive a Rs 980 raise after a year. Similarly, he will receive seven similar raises, and when his Basic Pay hits Rs. 30560, he will be entitled for a raise of Rs 1145 for another two years, until his pay reaches Rs. 32850. Then he or she will be entitled for a pay raise of Rs. 1310 for another seven years, till his or her income reaches Rs. 42020/-.

Allowances for the POs

Many allowances are available to POs. These include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transportation Allowance, and other allowances that are revised from time to time during settlements and are also eligible for reimbursements such as Newspapers, Cleaning, Furniture (as determined by eligibility), Group Personal Accident Insurance, and LTC, among others.

Quarter facilities for newly hired POs are available in some sites, however they are subject to availability. POs are entitled for reimbursement of medical expenses and access to some dispensary services, depending on their qualifications. POs are eligible for lower-cost loans and advances for housing, vehicles, computers, and other items, and they are covered by the NSDL’s NPS system and receive gratuity. In a Metropolitan Centre, the first annual CTC is currently around Rs. 8 lacs (including perquisites).

For BOB PO 2021, prospective candidates go through a selection process to qualify for a 9-month post-graduation postgraduate certificate in banking and finance at the Baroda Manipal School of Banking. Upon completion of the course, they will receive the postgraduate certificate in banking and finance and the appointment as a probation officer in various branches of the Bank of Baroda throughout the country. Upon successful completion of the 9-month banking diploma (PGDBF) the candidate will be appointed probationary officer in the Bank Junior Management Grade Scale (JMGS-I) and will be remunerated as INR 23,700 (9080×7) for 30,560, 1145×2 for 32,850 and 1310×7 for 42,020.

During the 9-month training and the 3-month on-the-job training, the candidate receives practical training and corresponding training for the PGDBF certification (PG Diploma in Banking and Finance), which is available after a 9-month program at Manipal School of Banking. The entire course fee will be refunded to the officer upon completion of the diploma of the Baroda Manipal School of Banking. However, most aspirants are not aware of the possibility of reimbursement of course fees and withdrawal after the candidates have successfully completed their five years as Probationary Officer at the Bank of Baroda.

Why to choose PO Post over other professions?

One of the main reasons why demand for probation positions in the banking sector never seems to diminish is because of the attractive salaries and other allowances they offer. One of the best banks where you can achieve great success, good growth, a good salary package and additional incentives. Better than getting a job in the private sector, where you have to save taxes, interest, fees and refunds after working at the bank for five years.
