How To Activate International Roaming In Airtel?

When travelling abroad one wants to be sure he remains in contact with family back at home. However, the biggest hassle that one faces is to arrange a mode of contact once reaching the destination. Now, Airtel has stepped in to provide relief to the travellers. With it’s wide International network, Airtel ensures seamless connection to its subscribers. Now the question comes on how to avail this benefit.

Bharti Airtel has launched international roaming voice packs called ‘Foreign Pass’ for its prepaid customers. The roaming packs will be priced from ₹ 196. The Airtel Foreign Pass packs will be available for 20 countries including the US, the UK, Canada, the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar.

With these packs, Airtel prepaid customers will be able to make and receive free local calls and outgoing calls to India.

How To Activate International Roaming In Airtel- Website?

The customer is required to recharge his or her prepaid connection to activate the international roaming pack. The international roaming pack can be activated through Bharti Airtel’s mobile app, My Airtel App, or website – www.airtel.in/ir. Besides, the customer can also purchase the recharge from a retailer.

The recharge packs will be available for 20 countries, which include Nepal, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore, Srilanka, Bahrain, China, Canada, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong, France, Netherlands and Thailand.

Now, the next time one travels to any of these destinations, one can easily connect with his family back at home. This will not only ensure connection with near and dear ones but also will ensure that no important call is missed by the subscriber as there will be no need to change the contact information.

All in all this provides the best alternative to ensuring connectivity with ones back at home.

Airtel has introduced new features for users traveling abroad, such as real-time usage tracking, unwanted data usage, one-click activation and deactivation of IR services, pre-booking of IR packages and much more. The new IR packs by Airtel for prepaid and postpaid users are global packs, so it is important to check that your destination country is covered by these packs before activating abroad. In addition, customers can track their use of international roaming packages in real time via the Airtel Thanks app and activate or deactivate their IR service with a single click in the app to have full control over the purchasing of IR packages or the use of IR packages.

This bundle of new features for postpaid and pre-paid users, which aims to simplify the overall experience for users when they travel abroad, not only allows users to track their usage of the international roaming package in real time, but also allows users to book international roaming packages up to 30 days in advance of the actual travel date. As well as the fee cut, Airtel also announced a smart roaming plan for customers travelling abroad.

Airtel prepaid customers can activate an IR pack 30 days before the travel date and if it is activated they are automatically connected to the mobile network of the country they are going to. The IR packages in Airtel fares and Airtel’s prepaid fares can be activated before you go abroad. Activating the IR pack is so easy that customers can also activate the pack via Airtel website, My Airtel app, USSD or contact center.

What are the Global Pack Plans for International Roaming Pack Airtel

According to Airtel, the new pack costs Rs 196 (20 min), Rs 296 (40 min) and Rs 446 (75 min). To track this, there are three new plans that allow users to activate or deactivate their international roaming packages if they want to avoid paying extra fees for using more data than the limit.

Airtel Rs 799 Global Pack offers 100 minutes of ingoing and outgoing calls between India and the host country as well as unlimited incoming text messages for a period of 30 days. The one-day roaming bundle costs Rs 649 and provides you 500 MB of data, 100 minutes for calls between countries outside India and 100 minutes for inbound calls. The 10-day package costs Rs29.99 and gives 3GB of data and 250 minutes of calling outside India, with 250 minutes of incoming calls.

The international roaming package for prepaid customers, known as the Foreign Pass, costs 196 rupees, Bharti Airtel said in a press release. The Foreign Pass roaming package is available in 20 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar.

If you are not an existing Airtel customer, you can still take advantage of international airline plans. Postpaid customers can book international roaming packages from Airtels and charge for them when travelling abroad.

Airtel new global package

Airtel has developed a new global package that covers all travel countries. The Airtel International Pack covers more than 100 countries, including popular destinations such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Thailand and others. Telecoms giant Bharti Airtel has also revamped the features of its mobile connectivity service for international travel.

Airtel has also unveiled its new International Roaming (IR) plan, a service designed to give international travellers more control over data usage and call time while curbing additional charges. For Airtel prepaid customers, international roaming (ir) is enabled by default, and when you make calls with our international roaming package, the amount is deducted from your main credit as a standard rate.

Free minutes and discounted data usage are applied to packs for selected customers. Note that if you exceed your data and call quota while roaming, the package is valid and you will be charged obsolescence based on your use.

Airtel’s third most expensive IR tariff (for 49.99 Rs) offered 1GB of data, unlimited incoming calls, 500 minutes of calling between India and the host country and unlimited messages for 10 days. In order to avoid undesirable charges for data use, Airtel’s customers must take advantage of the data offered in their international roaming package. You should think twice before investing at least 1199 rupees to top up your Airtel prepaid to use its international roaming voice calls.

Unlimited customers are lucky because all the major airlines offer some kind of international roaming, be it cross-border high-speed data or 2G data on their unlimited plans. With Bharti Airtels “roaming service, you can make and receive calls anywhere in the world on your mobile phone.
