Bharti Airtel has launched international roaming voice packs called ‘Foreign Pass’ for its prepaid customers. The roaming packs will be priced from ₹ 196. The Airtel Foreign Pass packs will be available for 20 countries including the US, the UK, Canada, the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar.

With these packs, Airtel prepaid customers will be able to make and receive free local calls and outgoing calls to India.

The customer is required to recharge his or her prepaid connection to activate the international roaming pack. The international roaming pack can be activated through Bharti Airtel’s mobile app, My Airtel App, or website – www.airtel.in/ir. All in all this provides the best alternative to ensuring connectivity with ones back at home.

Postpaid and Prepaid : How To Activate International Roaming In Airtel?

The validity of the packages begins when the customer joins the international network 30 days after purchase. In countries where Airtel roaming packages do not cover data services that are blocked to avoid unintended use, charges will be calculated according to standard charges (for more information ).

Airtel has introduced new features for users traveling abroad, such as real-time usage tracking, unwanted data usage, one-click activation and deactivation of IR services, pre-booking of IR packages and much more. The new IR packs by Airtel for prepaid and postpaid users are global packs, so it is important to check that your destination country is covered by these packs before activating abroad. In addition, customers can track their use of international roaming packages in real time via the Airtel Thanks app and activate or deactivate their IR service with a single click in the app to have full control over the purchasing of IR packages or the use of IR packages.

This bundle of new features for postpaid and pre-paid users, which aims to simplify the overall experience for users when they travel abroad, not only allows users to track their usage of the international roaming package in real time, but also allows users to book international roaming packages up to 30 days in advance of the actual travel date. As well as the fee cut, Airtel also announced a smart roaming plan for customers travelling abroad.
