‘I am not Zaira Wasim,’ Babita Phogat shuts down trolls after being hounded for calling out Tablighi Jamaat

She is being attacked right, left and centre for speaking the truth

Not many influential personalities and achievers always decide to be politically incorrect and spill out the truth, as is. Commonwealth wrestling champion, Babita Phogat is an exception. A Gold and Silver medallist at Wrestling, and also one of the main protagonists upon whom the film ‘Dangal’ was based, Babita Phogat has never shied away from kicking liberals where it hurts them the most.

Even as India continues to be under an extended lockdown, courtesy the illegal adventurism of the Tablighi Jamaat in the month of March, efforts are aplenty to gag all individuals speaking against the Wahhabi organization. Anyone speaking against them is being labelled an ‘Islamophobe’. This has not stopped Babita Phogat from speaking her mind, and stating facts as they are.

“Coronavirus is the second biggest problem in India, uncivilised Jamaatis, however, are India’s number one problem right now,” said Phogat. For this tweet, the wrestling champion was hounded by Islamists and liberals relentlessly, thinking that she could be forced into deleting the tweet and apologizing, neither of which happened. The next day, Babita Phogat was the top trend on Twitter.

Unscathed by the hate campaign being directed against her, Phogat put out a video message, where she made it abundantly clear that she would not be cowed down by usual India haters. She said that she was no Zaira Wasim and that she would not be bullied for speaking the truth.

यदि आप बबीता फोगाट को सपोर्ट करते हैं तो उन तक यह बात जरूर पहुंचा दीजिए और उनको बोलिए ध्यान से कान खोल कर सुन लें। pic.twitter.com/gqec3lQwPE

— Babita Phogat (Modi Ka Parivar) (@BabitaPhogat) April 17, 2020

“Listen carefully and keep this in mind, I am not Zaira Wasim, I am Babita Phogat, I have fought for my country, I will not get bullied, I will keep fighting for my country and keep speaking the truth, I stand by what I said,” the champion said. She further went on to say, “Isn’t it the truth that the Tablighi Jamaat is the super spreader of coronavirus? Don’t they still head the list of the total number of cases in India? Had it not been for them India would have contained the pandemic long ago and there wouldn’t have been the need to extend the lockdown. They are the trouble makers and people have to accept this.”

She also hammered liberals for not having the stomach to accept facts as they are, and said that people have a problem accepting the truth as it is.

It is worthy to be mentioned that Babita Phogat, for quite some time now, has been a target for liberals. In 2017, during the annual JNU and DU slugfest against the nation, one Gurmehar Kaur had arrived at the profound conclusion that Pakistan did not kill her father, instead, the war did. Virender Sehwag at that time had rightfully poked fun at such amateurish opinions of the lady, which made him a target for liberals to prey on. Randeep Hooda too gave his two bits on how the girl was being used as a pawn for the benefit of a few.

Rana Ayyub, being the uninvited guest she is to all conversations, put out a stereotypically anti-Haryana tweet.

https://twitter.com/RaisinaSeries/status/835907083975311360?s=20

To this, Babita Phogat took expected offence and put Rana Ayyub in her place.

Haryana ki hi hain hum Phogat sister bhi. Kya jante h aap haryana k bare me . https://t.co/ZWtl5fnEXJ

— Babita Phogat (Modi Ka Parivar) (@BabitaPhogat) February 27, 2017

bahot khushi hui ki aapne insaaf pasandi ki baat ki. Umeed hai ki aap jaisi haryana ki achiever @mehartweets ke haq mein bhi baat karengi. https://t.co/saezYQrZz4

— Rana Ayyub (@RanaAyyub) February 27, 2017

Jo aapne desh ke haq m bat nhi kar sakti uske haq m bat karna thik h kya??? https://t.co/t4Xb0AELHi

— Babita Phogat (Modi Ka Parivar) (@BabitaPhogat) February 27, 2017

In the run-up to the Haryana Assembly elections, Babita Phogat and her father, Mahavir Singh Phogat had joined the BJP. The family has been quite vocal about their support to PM Modi and the BJP, including their move to abrogate Article 370. Since Babita is also a BJP member, liberals have had their pants on fire for all the more reason.

Babita Phogat had also unequivocally lauded the Telangana Police for killing all the four accused in the Hyderabad rape and murder case, by encountering the rapists as they tried to escape police custody. Phogat had said, “Thok diya, theek kiya”.

ठोक दिया ठीक किया #hydrabaadencounter

— Babita Phogat (Modi Ka Parivar) (@BabitaPhogat) December 6, 2019

Babita Phogat, as is evident, has been a target for liberals for her unapologetic opinions and ability to speak the bare truth, no matter how hard-hitting it may be. Babita Phogat should serve as an inspiration for fence-sitters and apologists, who constantly strive to be perceived as ‘politically correct’, and, in the process, miss their opportunity to speak the truth.
