The Muslim who fought against leftist pseudo intellectuals denying the existence of Shri Ram and won

KK Muhammed, you have become a legend

As the nation rejoiced at the historic verdict which finally paved way for Ram Mandir, renowned archaeologist KK Muhammed was vindicated. He had carried out two excavations at Babri Masjid and had been the flag-bearer of pushing for Ram Mandir at the disputed site. He was hounded by the leftist historians and the then Congress government for not towing the establishment’s line but he didn’t allow the political pressure to deter him and continued with his efforts and without him, Ram Mandir wouldn’t have been a reality.

The former regional Director, North Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) was quoted: “The court has given verdict on the basis of evidence provided by the ASI. This is the most perfect judgment I could ever think of. I never thought it would be this perfect. I feel vindicated (he had said Ram temple existed before Babri mosque in Ayodhya I was hounded by a group of people. It is exactly the kind of decision that we all wanted. “For Hindus, this place is as important as Mecca and Madina is for Muslims. For Muslims, this place is not associated with the Prophet.”

Muhammed is one of the best archaeologists India ever had and he even excavated the famous Akbar’s Ibadat Khana and was Obama’s tour guide when the latter visited India and has helped restore numerous temples across the country. Muhammed also takes education classes for the children of labourers and yet, throughout his life he was hounded and vilified by the gang of the so-called Marxist historians Romila Thapar and Irfan Habib for claiming that Babri Masjid was indeed built on an erstwhile grand Ram Temple.

Due to the prevalent leftist bias of the Indian historians, a certain section of the country worships the Mughals despite their atrocities as the historians like Irfan Habib have successfully brainwashed the youth through his biased work. Right from the time when Muhammed was pursuing his higher education, Irfan Habib sought to discriminate against him as he refused to tow his line. When Muhammed applied to become the Research Scholar at Aligarh Muslim University he found that admission was given to a student who got 16 marks lesser than him in MA. The reason was that Muhammed was not a camp follower of the man who was controlling the admissions there – the power centre, professor Irfan Habib.

In hindsight, this happened to be a blessing in disguise for Muhammed as he instead enrolled in a course in post-graduate diploma in archaeology by the ASI and he hit back at Irfan Habib and the ilk by saying: “I would have ended up merely as a professor teaching inside closed walls. But here, I was into the heart of the field – searching and discovering history. This was my dream career.”

After finishing his course in archaeology he secured a job at the AMU and Muhammed believes that had Habib been in charge of AMU back then, it would have been impossible for him to get the job. When he discovered the Ibadat Khana which portrayed Akbar having discussions with Christian priests from Europe, Habib was not at all pleased with the discovery as it contradicted the Marxist history. After numerous attempts of muzzling and scuttling Muhammed’s discovery, the sheer amount of evidence forced Habib to acknowledge his discovery.

The excavation of Babri Masjid was done twice: once in 1976 and 2003 and Muhammed was a part of both the teams. During the first excavation under the tutelage of Dr B B Lal, JNU historians suppressed some of the crucial discoveries of the ASI team. The team was successfully able to confirm that the there used to be a temple before the Masjid and Muhammed admits that many Muslim groups were willing to accept the truth, honour the sentiments of the fraternal Hindu community and work out a compromise. However, a section of media and the left historians played spoilsport and thwarted his attempts to present his findings to the public.

Muhammed who was back then was posted in Chennai as Deputy Superintendent of Archaeology sought to come out clean and present his findings but the then Congress government created various hurdles for Muhammed. The Congress government didn’t permit him to present his findings but an unfazed Muhammed went ahead and wrote a letter to the editor of The Indian Express disclosing the facts. Muhammed faced a huge blowback from the government post his actions and was threatened with the suspension to which he replied in Sanskrit: “Lokasamgramevapi Sampasyan Kartumarhasi. Swadharme nidhanam shreya” which effectively means I spoke the truth. Death is preferable while on duty. Although he was transferred multiple times following his action of disclosing the facts in public domains.

The ASI excavated an inscription obtained from the debris of the Babri structure after demolition which speaks of a temple but professor Habib had alleged that it was planted there and targeted late Dr SP Gupta- a renowned archaeologist who devoted his life for the upliftment of the poor which is in stark contrast to university-grown elite Marxist historians are of the variety which speaks about revolution with wine glasses in their hand.

As the ASI team was successfully able to establish the presence of a Ram Mandir before the Babri Masjid, a group of Left historians led by Romila Thapar, DN Jha and RS Sharma among others went to the media around 1990 and falsely claimed that no temple remains were found in the excavation. They also said the report did not mention anything about the temple remains.

The left historians took testimonies of non-experts to further their agenda and shunned accomplished people like Muhammed, only to further their agenda. Just look at the case of Supriya Verma who had not read the ground penetration radar survey report that led the court to order an excavation and yet claimed that there is no archaeological evidence that there was a temple under the Babri masjid. Another JNU professor Suvira Jaiswal also claimed that to her knowledge, no such evidence is found that indicates that there was a Ram Mandir beneath the Babri Masjid but she accepted that she has not read anything about the Babri Masjid and was giving the statement based on her opinion. Numerous such JNU fake historians with no knowledge about the Babri Masjid discredited the ASI’s findings in front of the Allahabad HC and mislead an entire nation.

There is little doubt that the Ayodhya dispute had been settled long ago had the deplorable Leftist historians had not resorted to spreading their nefarious agenda. They wanted India to be divided and portray the Hindus as the aggressor and continue to do so till date as evident from the statements of Habib and Guha post the abrogation of Article 370, where they towed Pakistan’s line. The Wire too had a complete meltdown after the Supreme Court’s verdict and resorted to dividing the nation through their biased coverage.

The leftists can try to delay the justice, but can never deny it. The leftists can only attempt to divide the nation, but they can never spark disharmony between the Hindus and Muslims and India will continue to be united despite their nefarious attempts to spark a civil war.
