Controversial actor, Ajaz Khan has been arrested by the Mumbai Police over a controversial TikTok video. An official told ANI that he has been arrested for posting videos on social media inciting communal hatred. A Mumbai Police spokesperson said that the Cyber Police had received complaints with the videos which had gone viral on social media. The police said, “It was found that Ajaz Khan has created/uploaded these videos with objectionable content mainly promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, etc. and create hatred among public at large.”
Recently, Ajaz Khan had posted a video mocking Mumbai Police for filing FIR against a group of TikTok users who were circulating a video which “revenge” in the case relating to mob lynching of Tabrez Ansari in Jharkhand. In this video posted by Ajaz Khan, consisting of several TikTok users, one of them can be clearly heard saying, “Maar toh diya Tum ne Tabrez ko, par Kal jab uski aulaad badla ke toh ye mat kehna Musalman atankwadi hai. (You killed Tabrez, but if his child takes revenge tomorrow, do not say that Muslims are terrorists.”

Khan has been charged under several provisions of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act which can attract imprisonment of upto five years term and fine upto Rs. 5,00,000. This is not the first time that Ajaz Khan has been involved in a controversy. It is relevant to mention here that in the October 2018, Khan was arrested by the anti-Narcotics cell from a Mumbai hotel. Ajaz Khan was allegedely possessing banned psychotropic substances. In 2016 also he had fallen into trouble when he was arrested for the allegations of sending obscene and lewd messages to a beautician.
Khan had also created a big controversy on Twitter last year. A Twitter user had commented about Ajaz Khan, “You don’t even respect Indian constitution because if today you are asked to choose Indian constitution or quran then you will choose quran and not Indian constitution so don’t give lectures to others.” To this, the rogue actor Ajaz Khan had replied, “Yes I will chose Quran Any Day Any time.” This went on to show his utter disregard towards the Constitution of India.

Actor Ajaz Khan had appeared as if he did not fear the law. Mumbai Police deserves to be applauded for finally taking action against him and not allowing nefarious elements to create communal disharmony.
