Controversial actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan has courted legal troubles, this time he has been booked under rape charges. A female complainant has accused Khan of raping her on the false pretext of marriage and a job in his tawdry web series named ‘House Arrest’. The Charkop Police in Mumbai have now filed an FIR against him under stringent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), with the threat of his arrest hanging over his head.
Khan is said to have invited the survivor for a hosting role in his contentious web series, subsequently proposing to her on the set. What followed was a horrific act where he is accused of raping her in her home.
This isn’t Khan’s first encounter with notoriety or criminality. The actor is already facing backlash and legal scrutiny for House Arrest, a vulgar display of soft pornography disguised as content on Ullu App. In one widely condemned scene, Khan is seen pressuring female participants to discuss and demonstrate sex positions, clearly crossing every line of decency. The video, widely circulated on social media, has ignited outrage, with calls for a complete ban on such exploitative OTT content.
Khan’s track record reeks of criminality. He previously spent 26 months in jail in a drug-related case, where he was labelled by courts as a “danger to society” for peddling drugs and allegedly corrupting young boys and girls. His role in the narcotics business, coupled with his wife’s recent bail in an identical case, presents a damning image of a man who does best in dirt and scandal.
Ajaz Khan is not a misunderstood artist – he is a symbol of what’s wrong in showbiz. From using women to promoting sexual obscenity and peddling drugs, Khan’s public life is a blot on so-called celebrities. It is time the law acts tougher against such predators before more lives and minds get poisoned.
