After failing to secure an alliance with the Congress in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party’s electoral conquest has now turned into a battle for survival. AAP candidate from East Delhi, Atishi Marlena has been trying hard to gather votes against BJP’s Gautam Gambhir even if it means spreading false propaganda. Recently Atishi and AAP had alleged that Gautam Gambhir had held a campaign rally without permission. Atishi even had complained to the returning officer and had requested the election officials to file an FIR against Gambhir along with barring him from campaigning for 72 hours.
However in a shock to AAP and Atishi Marlena, the returning officer K Mahesh said permission had been granted to the BJP candidate for holding road show in several parts of east Delhi, including Dilshad Garden — the area mentioned in the AAP complaint.
This complaint came following a series of attempts by the AAP and its candidate to sabotage Gautam Gambhir’s campaign. Recently a video of Atishi had also surfaced where she was seen clearly, pushing voters to support goons in order to defeat PM Modi. Twitter user Chowkidar Archie had posted a video on twitter which displays this meek and desperate attempt to mislead the electorate , She tweeted : “A real gem from #AtishiMarlena She says even if you have to vote for Gundas to defeat Modi-Shah duo, just do it This is the real agenda of all opposition parties All they care for is to defeat PM @narendramodi & not India or its people Kuch bhi kar lo par #ModiAaneWalaHai”

In the video Atishi is clearly heard saying that it is a fact that there is no single party in the nation that can defeat the BJP she further adds we should vote for SP and BSP without caring about the candidate, just vote for the coalition by closing your eyes( even if the candidate is a goon).
Gautam Gambhir responding to AAP’s complaint had said : “When you have no vision for the people or nothing else to talk about, you make allegations like these,” he also pointed towards the dismal performance of AAP government in Delhi over past few years.
In Delhi, considered the fort of AAP, problems are compounded with constant infighting and alienation of popular leaders like Kumar Vishwas from the party, Voters are disgruntled. Lack luster performance in the state government and failed attempt to forge an alliance with Congress in the state has also left the party red faced. As AAP which was created by Arvind Kejriwal on an anti corruption sentiment against Congress, for political ambitions, had to approach the same Congress to save its political ground.
Involvement in ambition driven politics has adversely affected AAP’s credibility and analyzing the current political scenario and desperate attempts to save political ground many experts believe it to be the last election for AAP.
