BJP’s candidate for general elections 2019 from Bhopal, Sadhvi Pragya, has been a soft target for the liberal brigade and the mainstream media ever since her candidature was announced. She has been constantly labeled a ‘terror accused’ on the basis of half-baked information and concoctions. Sadhvi Pragya had been accused without valid proof for her involvement in the Malegaon blasts. For almost a decade, she was imprisoned and abused on the orders of UPA government. Congress had gone on to accuse Sadhvi by coining terms such as ‘saffron terror’ and ‘Hindu terror’. Her basic constitutional rights were denied to her when she wasn’t allowed legal representation and was subjected to brain mapping tests, polygraph tests and narcotics tests without consent. She faced such horrific torture that she was rendered a cripple and paralyzed from the waist down. Later, she even developed breast cancer. The media, who otherwise would have created a big issue out of this, turned a blind eye towards these atrocities. This bias draws motivation from the media’s unjustified negative opinion about people clad in saffron.
Now, the liberal brigade has made a desperate attempt to malign her image all over again. Eminent politicians and journalists have now been caught lying about Sadhvi Pragya’s age following her comments about Babri demolition in 1992. The left liberal cabal claimed that Sadhvi Pragya was just four years old when the demolition took place. PDP chief and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister retweeted a post stating that Sadhvi was just four years old in 1992 and stated, “India’s answer to boss baby that would put the adventures of Chota Bheem and Shin Chan to shame.”

Self-acclaimed intellectual, Ashok Swain, gave a disgusting reply to Mufti’s tweet and stated, “We are the land of Abhimanyus!” This tweet intended to slander Sadhvi Pragya and take a jibe at the Hindu belief system.

Eminent journalist, Shekhar Gupta was also involved in giving further circulation to the misinformation against Sadhvi Pragya. He tweeted, “She (Sadhvi Pragya) was four then. Must have been a precocious child. Inspiration for Chhota Bheem….”
However, an India Today report has busted this fake news. India Today reported that her elder sister Upma Singh said, “Sadhvi’s birth date is 02.02.1970 and it is mentioned in her mark sheets and Aadhar card as well.” Moreover, as per the petition filed by Sadhvi Pragya in the Bombay High Court in 2016, her age was 44 years at that time. This implies that the claim of her age being 4 years at the time of Babri demolition is an outright lie. However, journalists in the mainstream media and agenda-driven politicians are on a devoted campaign to malign her image which is clearly reflected in the hate-filled coordinated misinformation spreading spree against Sadhvi Pragya.
