Congress’ inexplicable hatred for armed forces and reverence for enemies of the state was on full display yesterday. Rahul Gandhi affectionately addressed the dreaded terrorist and chief of terror outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad, Maulana Masood Azhar as ‘Masood Azhar ji.’
In his latest address to the party workers in Delhi, the Congress President was trying to corner the NDA government. To quote his address, “……Bomb kisne phaada? Jaish-e-Mohammad. Masood Azhar. Yaad hoga? Ab yeh chhappan inch wale chhati wale aapko yaad hoga… Jab inki pichhli sarkar thi to aircraft mein Masood Azhar jee ke saath baith kar jo aaj National Security Advisor hai, Ajit Doval, Masood Azhar ko jaa kar Kandahar mein hawale kar ke aa gaye the. Pulwama mein agar bomb blast hua, zaroor Pakistan ke logon ne, Jaish-e-Mohammad ne karwaya. Magar Masood Azhar ko BJP ne jail se chhudwaya. Congress party ke do PM shaheed hue hai, hum kisike saamne nahin jhukte hai.”
(Who detonated the bombs at Pulwama? Jaish e Muhammad. Masood Azhar. Now you would remember the so called ‘56 Inch Chest’…During their previous government, the current NSA, Ajit Doval went in an aircraft with Masood Azhar ji. If the bomb blasts occurred in Pulwama, it must have been done by Pakistan, it must have been done by Jaish e Muhammad. But BJP freed Masood Azhar from the jails. Two of the Congress PMs have been martyred, but we never bowed before anyone)
There are people who make absurd political statements, then there are folks like Arvind Kejriwal, and then there is Rahul Gandhi. The fact that Rahul Gandhi is desperately trying his level best to become the PM is hidden from none. But in his bid to corner PM Modi, he committed exactly the same mistake that had thrown out UPA from power in 2014.
We don’t need rocket science to understand how much Congress favors minority appeasement. But their love for the minorities has reached nauseating levels as well. Be it Digvijay’s unapologetic love for Osama Bin Laden and Hafeez Saeed, or Randeep Singh Surjewala’s affectionate address for Afzal Guru, or even the way Sonia Gandhi reportedly cried on hearing about the death of the terrorists in Batla House encounter, Congress has been rather pro-terrorist in their approach.
It was this very attitude that forced the intelligence officers to think once before risking their lives in order to catch dreaded terrorist Yasin Bhatkal, fearing another crackdown on the lines of the hoax of “Saffron Terror”, which destroyed the lives of reputed officers like Lt. Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit.
