Countless Karsevaks massacred in Ayodhya’s 1990 firing incident: Republic Bharat

The Republic Bharat, shortly after its launch, made a massive revelation in the Ayodhya Massacre incident of 1990 in which the then UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav ordered the state police to kill innocent Karsevaks who had gathered in Ayodhya demanding the construction of Ram Temple. That time, Mulayam Singh Yadav, as well as the state administration, had claimed that ‘only 16 Karsevaks’ were killed in the police firing in Ayodhya, however, according to recent revelations by Republic Bharat, the number of Karsevaks shot dead stands much higher, and as per the expose, the Ayodhya massacre report stands fake.

In a sting operation carried out by Republic Bharat, a police officer has revealed truth about the Hindu massacre. It seems that the entire state administration conspired against the Karsevaks. The bullets were shot above the chest with the intention of killing Karsevaks and not to control them by inflicting minor injuries.

The then station in charge of Ram Janambhumi Police Station- V.B Singh- made many shocking revelations. Speaking before a hidden camera, VB Singh said, “Dekhiye jo mare the log, toh desh ke patrakar aaye the, DM SSP kahe ki jaye SHO se baat ki jiye, toh bakeyde camere-vamera liye voh baat kar rahe toh, toh woh sunejo statement jo government ko dya gaya that usme 8 aadmi gunshot injury se dikhaye gaye the aur 8 aadmi gunshot injury se mare, aur 42 ghayal dikahee gaye the. Samjhte hai.”

He further disclosed that the massacre was really of “countless” Hindus, rather than of just 16 people. In the explosive report of Republic Bharat, V.B Singh further said, “Mare toh bahut hai jo paani mein gire na, jab dono taraf se rubber ki goliya chali hai aur beharakar pul ke dono taraf kitne log maar gaye koi sankhya nahi maluum hai.”

Arguably the most shocking revelation made by V.B Singh is that the Hindu Karsevaks were given burials and not cremations. He said, “Government ko report dena tha to hum gaye murdhani ghaat par aur waha par shamshaan ghaat par jo baithate  hai unse puche-batao kitni laashe aati hai jo dafnayi jaati hai aur kitni jalaaye jaati hai? Toh usne bataya ki 15-20 laashe to dafnayi jaati hai.”

By adopting this inhumane, dirty and nauseating trick, the cops used to mislead the families of the deceased Karsevaks who later came enquiring about them. VB Singh disclosed, “Woh hi toh, aate rahe nan, toh unko dikha diya ki yeh laashe jo hai yeh unki nahi hai, yeh dafnai hui laashe hai.”

He continued making shocking revelations which no investigative journalist ever bothered to find out. VB Singh further said, “Humse SSP aur DM ne kaha ki tum waha ki muddaye ban jao aur batao ki kar sewak yaha chowki kar rahe the, toh maine aapne siphaiyo ko aadesh diya ki firing karo, siphaiyo ne aapne rifle se do do round fire kiya. Maine aapne revolver se 6 round fire kiya. Farji sab. Khoka kartus (bullet shells) sab police line mein jama ho  gaya lekin haqiqaat kuch aur thi. Uss samay ke magistrate banaye gaye the koi (unclear) toh unse SSP ne kaha ki app likh ke de digiye ki meine daroga VB SIngh ji ko goli chaalane ke aadesh diya. Aur woh dar ke maare likh be nahi kar rahe. DM, SP ko bahut dante atah uhone like kar diya. Aatah sab farji tha, yeh sab ghatna toh pehle ho chuki thi. Phir samajhiye mukadma hua. Jab sarkar aayi toh mukadme phir wapas shure hue.” He was not the only one to do so as many others were forced to change their tones.

He also mentioned that the then SSP had a conversation with Mulayam Singh Yadav. He said, “Sahaab ko 8 baje pata nahi kya baat hui Mulyam Singh se, mukhya mantri se SSP ki.”

Ranjana, who filed the first case in Allahabad High Court in 1990, claimed that the numbers that were given by the government were more than that. Speaking to Republic TV, she said, “I think it is more than 300 people who were killed and it was mass killing.”

#Karsevakmassacre case was suppressed for political reasons. The case must be reopened in order to punish the culprits and to ensure justice to families of the deceased Karsevaks. The anger has spread across India, and people are demanding CBI investigation into the matter.

While speaking to Republic Bharat, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, “We know that, the society knows (about the killing if 18 people). The gunfire meant that there was massacre because of firing. How did the massacre happen? Due to firing. I heard it from the seers that something like this had happened. If the officer has said, then it should happen (investigation). Officer is saying, he is the testament of it, so investigation should happen.”

The justice for the deceased Karsevaks is long-overdue and the expose by Republic Bharat is set to give the case a new life. The revelations in the Ayodhya Massacre incident are shocking and require exhaustive investigation on the part of central agencies.
