Sanjay Nirupam is in the news again, this time for making nasty statement against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Wednesday, he called PM Modi an “unpadh-gawaar” (illiterate). He made these uncivilized remarks in reaction to the screening of a short film on PM Modi, ‘Chalo jeete hain,’ in the schools of Mumbai.
Nirupam said, “Jo bachhe school, college mein padh rahe hain woh Modi jaise unpadh-gawaar ke baare mein jaan kar unko kya milne wala hai? Yeh bahut sharmnaak baat hai ki aaj tak humare desh ke nagrik aur bacchhon ko pata hi nahi hai ki PM ki degree kitni hai. (What will the children studying in schools, colleges gain by learning about an illiterate like Modi? It is a shameful thing that the country’s citizens and children still do not know how many degrees the PM has),” news agency ANI quoted him as saying.
The remarks against PM Modi fits the pattern of behavior of Sanjay Nirupam. In the past also he has made many disrespectful remarks against the respected people. After the Karnataka assembly election results, he had equated Governor of Karnataka to a dog. Such comparison raises a serious question about his upbringing.

Sanjay Nirupam is a habitual offender. In 2012, Sanjay Nirupam has used foul language against Smriti Irani– a self-made woman who rose to the top in not one but two walks of life.
