Vivek Agnihotri takes Swara Bhasker to the cleaners, exposes her hypocritical stand on freedom of speech

The new darling of the left liberal brigade, Swara Bhasker exposed her own hypocritical stand on ‘freedom of speech and expression’ by forcing director Vivek Agnihotri, who criticized her stoic silence on the issue of a nun being raped by Christian pastors in Kerala.

It all started with an innocuous tweet from the director on the Kerala nun issue:-

It’s so painful to see Nuns are being exploited by the servants of son of God. Story of all orpahanages, hospitals, women shelters, old-age homes, mental asylums and missionaries which are run by them. O’ lord Jesus, please save our helpless women. From thy servants.

— Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (@vivekagnihotri) September 10, 2018

Following the tweet, he attacked the ‘placard brigade’ of Bollywood of staying mum on this issue, exhorting Swara Bhasker to stand for the victim, with another tweet!

However, Swara Bhasker took this otherwise and not only lambasted Vivek Agnihotri for his tweet, but also alleged him of cyber bullying by labeling him a ‘prostitute’, though it was clearly evident that Vivek Agnihotri meant otherwise in his tweet. Yet, he was forced to delete his tweet, and the leftist media and intellectuals lost no time in making a villain out of him:-

Well about time @TwitterIndia !! Abusive, misogynistic, hateful men like these cannot and should not get away #cyberbully @ReallySwara https://t.co/xO6SOHHa9s

— Mini Mathur (@minimathur) September 10, 2018

I want to vomit! But he is revelling in the attention . He is best ignored https://t.co/reXPcMSFPY

— Azmi Shabana (@AzmiShabana) September 10, 2018

Gloating on her so called victory, Swara Bhasker posted another tweet, labeling herself as a guardian of freedom of speech and expression as noted below:-

Girls! (& boys & everyone) DO NOT allow cyber bullies & haters to shame you or humiliate you on public platforms!! Resist, challenge and call out bullies & misogynists! Thank you @TwitterIndia @Twitter @TwitterSupport You just made the virtual public sphere a little bit better :) pic.twitter.com/MmhOkofq4C

— Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) September 10, 2018

However, it was here that the director of movies like ‘Chocolate’, ‘Buddha in a Traffic Jam’ etc. had had it enough. In his next tweet, he literally took Swara Bhasker and her liberal cabal to the cleaners, exposing her hypocritical stand on the issue of ‘freedom to dissent’:-

I say ‘stone-pelters’, they start lynching me. I say ‘Jehadis’, they lynch me. I say #UrbanNaxals, they start lynching me. I say support the ‘poor nun’ they start lynching me.
I never name them. But each time they compete with each other to prove who is more guilty. https://t.co/KFwOUitTc9

— Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (@vivekagnihotri) September 12, 2018

Dear @ReallySwara, thnx for curbing my FoE. Very liberal, indeed. It’s given me strong motivation & made me more determined to defeat India’s enemies- #UrbanNaxals. Last time it was your mother who stopped my film at JNU. And you know what happened. Thnx for rejuvenating our fight https://t.co/Fh44wexuso

— Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (@vivekagnihotri) September 11, 2018

For those unaware, Swara Bhasker’s mother is Ira Bhasker, a professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. She is not only a known Marxist, but was also one of the few people behind the refusal to let the director screen his movie ‘Buddha in a Traffic Jam’ at the JNU premises.

Interestingly, Vivek Agnihotri is one of the first few people who raised the issue of the growing menace of Urban Naxals, be it on Twitter or on Facebook, something that both Ira Bhasker and Swara Bhasker are quite uncomfortable in dealing with.

This is not the first time Swara Bhasker has been hypocritical on her stand of ‘freedom of speech and expression’. When the controversial flick ‘Padmaavat’ was released, Swara, who was a vocal supporter of the unhindered release of the movie, was ironically the first one to criticize it, ending with an atrocious statement of ‘feeling herself reduced to a vagina’. What’s worse, she even belittled the ‘jauhar’ episode, saying ‘There is a life after rape’, adding further insult for any rape victim around the world.

Met with criticism from all corners, it was in this very incident that Vivek Agnihotri called out her hypocrisy and suggested her to meet the real rape victims, especially the ones in the Naxal infested areas, with the following tweet:-

We have interviewed many ‘ex-naxal’ women in Bastar. Each has gut-wrenching stories to tell, full of abuse, rape and misogyny If they marry, they aren’t allowed to have children. I think fake feminist @ReallySwara must make a trip to understand how the Real Vagina feels like.

— Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (@vivekagnihotri) January 30, 2018

What women need to understand that it’s because of the fake feminists like @ReallySwara that the feminist movement gets jeopardised. You just can’t piss off people and win the most critical war of modern times – the gender empathy.

— Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (@vivekagnihotri) January 30, 2018

However, Swara got triggered and accused Vivek Agnihotri of suggesting her to be ‘raped’, in this atrocious tweet of hers:-

I’m sorry did u just suggest that i go get myself raped?????????? Like seriously? You typed out this tweet Vivek… ?????
I’d say pretty low and sick even by your own abysmal standards of conduct & civility. https://t.co/d1LCCE9B5I

— Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) January 30, 2018

So this is not the first time Vivek Agnihotri was heckled by Swara Bhasker for her own deficiency of comprehension skills. Interestingly, Swara Bhasker, who is a known advocate of women empowerment, had no qualms in glorifying the lecherous stalking performed by the protagonist of the movie ‘Raanjhanaa’, calling it an ‘unapologetic celebration of crazy love.’

Also, Swara Bhasker is the last person on earth who has the moral authority to accuse anyone of cyber bullying. During the Kathua case, when people refused to accept the Hindu bashing and treat the case as open and shut, calling instead for a fair trial, Swara Bhasker not only mocked them, but also labeled them as ‘rape apologists.’ Incidentally, when noted columnist Shefali Vaidya exhorted people to stop following such people for their hypocritical stance, Swara Bhasker labeled her as a hate monger and rape apologist as well, as noted below. Freedom of speech and expression much?

Shefali ji aap rape apologist & morally bankrupt ho, that’s ok.. Saarey Hindus ko kyun shaamil kar rahey ho apney nafrati jamaat mein? Many Hindus whose humanity is still intact condemning #Kathua & #Unnao & #Surat & fighting for justice pls don’t malign them with ur stupid hate. https://t.co/SzOGb1ZeOZ

— Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) April 16, 2018

In which Sanghan @ShefVaidya insults all Hindus and maligns Hinduism by suggesting that all Hindus should become rape apologists like herself 🙄🙄🙄🙄 https://t.co/SzOGb1ZeOZ

— Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) April 16, 2018

Even her own mother Ira Bhasker isn’t far behind. She was one of the vocal dissenters against the idea of instituting an enquiry against the offenders of sexual harassment with college students, as published by one Raya Sarkar, while passively suggesting that the victims shouldn’t be taken seriously, since they might be lying for their own benefits.

As such, when Swara Bhasker rants on ‘cyber bullying by Vivek Agnihotri’, she is as genuine in her fight as Serena Williams was during the recently concluded US Open finals. Using the feminism tag and the victim card might work for once, maybe even twice, but not every time. We’re rather proud of Mr. Vivek Agnihotri for not buckling down to pressure and standing resolute to Swara’s hypocrisy, and we hope that truth ultimately prevails.
