Pakistan has found a new ally against India

Ever since the Modi government stormed to power in 2014, the Congress has been sharing a very good rapport with Pakistan. At times, it almost seems as if the oldest party of India and our terrorist neighbor are working in connivance with each other. Pakistan’s ministers and politicians, including newly appointed Prime Minister Imran Khan have been quite aggressive in their discourse against Prime Minister Modi ever since the minister level talks which were scheduled for this year were cancelled. The bonhomie between Congress and Pakistan has again come to light even as the former Pakistan interior minister and Senator Rehman Malik used a statement of Congress president Rahul Gandhi from a recent press conference on Rafale deal to target Prime Minister Modi.

Foreign minister level talks were scheduled between India and Pakistan after Imran Khan wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi requesting that peace dialogue must be initiated between the two countries. However, after Pakistan released postage stamps commemorating slain Kashmiri terrorists as freedom fighters and mercilessly tortured a BSF trooper to death, the talks were cancelled and the true face of Pakistan was unmasked. Soon after, Pakistan got frustrated and started lambasting Prime Minister Modi. Even Imran Khan made a distasteful and intolerable remark about Prime Minister Modi. At the same time, the Congress was busy creating fake claims of an alleged scam out of the Rafale deal. Therefore, the Congress and Pakistan have found a common enemy in Prime Minister Modi. They have even started harping on the same baseless allegations in a naive attempt to bring down Prime Minister Modi.

It seems that BJP president Amit Shah has rightly tweeted that the way Pakistan is supporting baseless allegations made by Rahul Gandhi, it is very much possible that the Congress may be forming an international mahagathbandhan against PM Modi.

Malik referred to Rahul Gandhi as India’s next prime minister. Replying to a tweet he expressly stated, “Rahul is your next PM as he is talking sense in his pressers. PM Modi is scared of him.” Therefore, there seems to be palpable enthusiasm within Pakistani political corridors to watch the Congress come back to power. It seems that they are as desperate as the Congress to see Rahul Gandhi occupying the top post.

It is therefore clear that Pakistan and Congress have a major common aim in mind, which is, removing Prime Minister Narendra Modi from power. While the Congress is finding it hard to put up without remaining in power, Pakistan is finding it hard to cope up with his strong leadership and the fact that India has exposed Pakistan’s double game on terrorism and ceasefire violations. This explains massive support from Pakistani politicians and leadership for the Congress and its president Rahul Gandhi. And this is not for the first time that the bonhomie between the two failed entities has surfaced. In fact, Congress politician, Mani Shankar Aiyar had suggested on a Pakistani channel, that the terrorist country should help the Congress in removing Prime Minister Modi from power. This goes on to show the deep hatred the Congress and Pakistan share towards India.

The only reason why Pak is openly supporting the Congress and taking keen interest in someone like Rahul Gandhi is that Prime Minister Modi has absolutely rattled Pakistani establishment. The kind of aggressive strategy that the present government has taken up both at the borders and the international forums against Pakistan was unthinkable during the UPA days. India is no longer the country that extends an olive branch when the terrorist nation carries out dastardly terror strikes and ceasefire violations. Under PM Modi’s leadership, India retaliates with full force. Pak is longing for the days when Congress is in command of affairs and turns a blind eye towards the barbarity of Pakistan.
