Indian communists’ vicious hatred towards the Indian army

The whole idea of communism and communist parties in India has been to oppose growth and development in the country. The party which was founded on the basis of protecting the rights of the lower strata of the society has lost their ways and have been found to be involved in numerous cases of anti-India works throughout the country. The Communist Party of India had been vehemently opposed to India and its armed forces ever since the time of the Indo-China war in 1962. China was favoured by the communists who cited ideology as the reason to denounce their own soil. There are in fact documented events which show the bitter hatred the Communists reserve for the Indian Army, during the Indo-China war in 1962 the then politburo member of CPM and former Chief Minister of Kerala VS Achuthanandan was sacked from the party. His only fault was that he had suggested that the Communist party should organise a blood donation camp for the wounded soldiers of the Indian Army.

This hatred for the armed forces has remained instilled in the hearts and minds of the communist cadres all through this time. In 2017 Communist Party of India (Marxist) former general secretary Prakash Karat had criticised Army chief General Bipin Rawat of suppressing the voice of people from the Kashmir valley. Prakash Karat had criticised the Indian Army chief for emphasising that the security of forces is paramount and for appreciating the innovation of Major Nitin Gogoi, who was trying to save himself from the wrath of stone pelters. Another politician from Kerala, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had found himself in a controversy when in 2017 he had alleged that the Indian Army indulged in abduction and rape of women. Balakrishnan who is CPM’s Secretary of its Kerala unit had issued this statement in May last year, a few days after the speech made by Prakash Karat drew flak.

“When the Army is given extreme powers, the Army can do anything to anybody. Army will kidnap and rape women,” Balakrishnan was seen saying in a speech which was aired by television channels.”If the army is brought into Kannur, there would be a clash between army and the people. If they see more than four people standing together, they can shoot them. Nobody has the right to question them. This is the state wherever the Army is”, he added. This statement coming from the people who have started culture of violence and hatred in West Bengal and Kerala seems to be hypocritical to say the least. The only violence the Communists are okay with is the violence perpetrated by its party members themselves; any other form of violence even if done to safeguard the nation is a case of blatant abuse of human rights according to them.

And now that Kerala is battling floods, Indian Army, Navy and Airforce have rushed to help flood victims of Kerala; they are providing all possible help to Kerala in its hour of crisis. The Indian Navy and Indian Army have turned out to be the saviors of the masses. They’re toiling day and night in order to provide help to distressed citizens caused by the devastating floods in Kerala. Be it evacuating the stranded people through helicopters, boats etc., or sending the required assistance to the right people, the Indian Navy and Indian Army are doing their job perfectly, without any hassles.

While we know that the communists are a shameless lot but still aren’t they ashamed that the very men they taunted and vilified are helping their state when it needs it?

The Communist parties in India have always been anti-India and the Indian Army which has been a pillar of strength for India, have been at the receiving end of its wrath. Tripura, a state where the communists ruled for a long time under Manik Sarkar played the National Anthem for the first time in the state assembly after Biplab Kumar Deb took over the post of CM following BJP’s win. Their ideologies do not allow them to think of the nation first, the Indian Army and the citizens of India which want the nation to grow will always be at loggerheads with the communist parties and their ideologies.
