Dear Lutyens media, you are heartless and sub-human, not us.

Kathua Rape

I have often been labeled a ‘Bhakt’, and I have never objected. I am a Hindu. I am a nationalist. And there are tens of millions of people like me, with the same attributes, across the country. And yesterday, we were shamed by the Lutyens media and the international media as being defenders of rapists. We were spoken down to, as if we were heartless sub-human scum.

Bhakts have spent the whole day indulging in whataboutary on the Asifa case. “But did you condemn this, but did you condem that”. Sorry, but no amount of whataboutary will work here. This exposes your basic inhuman core. You fake nationalists

The Hindu 'nationalists' who defend rapists & murderers and take cover behind the tricolor have brought shame to India; the Flag, the Constitution & of course – to Hinduism. I write in @washingtonpost on #KathuaRape & #UnnaoRapeCase https://t.co/NLfUiteJQT

In India, the rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl has led to protests by Hindu nationalists — coming to the defense of the accused https://t.co/9vAjVE6tF7

— The New York Times (@nytimes) April 11, 2018

The cabal played a clever game. How they used a little girl’s rape and murder in Kathua to peddle their own agenda is something we will come to later. But I was shocked to see how many on my side of the aisle went into a complete guilt-trip, as if they were answerable in some way, and that it was their duty to make it clear to the world that they were against the brutality that had taken place. Why would anyone not be against it? And what do you take us to be, that we have to prove to anyone how we really felt about what happened?

What happened in Kathua was horrific, and the perpetrators must be hung. But if they were to be hung, I know very well who would knock the Supreme Court’s doors at midnight to save them. I know who covered rapes selectively in their reporting, and how some of them in some parts of the country perpetrated by certain kinds of people, were systematically blacked out from newspapers and prime-time television. And no, I’m not the one who belongs to Tarun Tejpal’s ilk and looks away when something goes wrong under my roof.

And yet, these are the morons who sent us on a guilt-trip. They painted the incident with a broad brush, and even twisted certain facts, and made it sound like the entire majority community was to blame for what happened. Those who caught on to their game were shot down, because it was wrong to politicize rape and indulge in whataboutery. But who politicized it in the first place and hauled us over the coals? And pray tell me, what is wrong with whataboutery?

Whataboutery doesn’t undermine the gravity of any crime. Whataboutery equates things, and demands that things falling in the same category be treated in a uniform way. But then, double-standards are the bread and butter of our leftist cabal. And it’s the same thing all around the world. The left understands that it cannot advance its agenda in a level-playing field, and that for it to win the battle of narrative, certain ground realities must be kept out of public discourse. So in comes the concept of political correctness. In comes the idea that whataboutery is a bad word.

And so, when they were busy highlighting the horrors of Kathua, we were not allowed to speak about the horrors of Assam or that of Bihar. Were they children of lesser gods? Were the crimes any less brutal? Were the perpetrators lesser barbarians? But no! We’ve got to sit back and shut up because Lutyens has an agenda, because these morons have an election to win in 2019. Only they get to pass moral sermons, only they get to set the rules of discourse. We are just simpletons, stupid Hindu nationalists who know nothing about anything.

I was in two minds yesterday about whether the cabal needs to be taken head on, and whether their bluff should be called out. After all, we are all plagued by the disease that is political correctness to some extent. But then, a post regarding the Kathua incident on a friend’s timeline helped me make up my mind.

Did you know that the horrific incident happened in January? Did you know that after it happened, many local villagers were randomly picked up by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and tortured, on the pretext of interrogation? Did you know that the situation got so bad that by February, the Hindus started leaving the village? The people of this village began demanding a CBI inquiry so that the state police wouldn’t torture them any further, and women from the village sat on a fast-unto-death with this demand. As they inched closer to their deaths, they were picked up and force-fed at a hospital. But then, when the J&K Bar Association joined the protests and demanded a CBI inquiry, and a bandh last week shook the establishment, the establishment realized that things could spiral out of control from here. And almost overnight, those demanding a free and fair CBI inquiry, became the poster-boys of Hindu nationalism and the defenders of rapists.

The power of narrative. Wonderfully explained by @Infinitchy https://t.co/u8LXHSZS7g #Asifa pic.twitter.com/6DxCyFIzFI

— नेहा श्रीवास्तव (Nehā S) (@neha_aks) April 12, 2018

I should have known better. This is how the cabal and its morons have always functioned, and I should not have for a moment believed that their hearts were really bleeding for the little girl. The amount of virtue-signaling these morons indulged in, literally using a little girl’s rape and murder and concocting and twisting facts to suit their agenda, is a clear sign that nothing has changed with these depraved and morally-bankrupt crooks. If anything has changed at all, it is perhaps that they have become smarter in their selection of issues. They have begun selecting the kinds of issues that would invariably make those questioning them look like the bad guys, irrespective of what their arguments might be. In other words, they have used this little girl’s rape and murder as a shield to advance their agenda.

NDTV ran a show today called ‘Agenda 2019’ and discussed the rape case of Kathua under that banner. Disgusting to say the least. Atleast have the civility to discuss this gruesome crime without your perpetual political lenses!

— Rajat Sethi (@RajatSethi86) April 12, 2018

If the Kathua case has taught us anything, it is that we must never trust them. We must never be taken in by their virtue-signaling. They are morons, and they always have an agenda. If you do not see it upfront, wait for it to emerge before you start feeling like you’re the worst and go on a guilt trip. Look out for their hidden agenda, because they cannot function without one. They are capable of using anything under the sun, even the rape and murder of a little girl, to peddle their agenda.
