Dear Mr. Kejriwal EVMs cannot be tampered, here’s a solid explanation

kejriwal evm tampering

AAP leader Delhi CM, Arvind Kejriwal kept his harangue well under control just 36 hrs after the Election results were announced. The Punjab defeat and Goa shock made him bed ridden with disbelief. If the CM had continued with his silence for next 2 day’s and finally adoring the balcony of his AAP Office waving hands in his inimitable way, ‘accepting the peoples verdict’, and reposing his ‘faith’ in Democracy, that would have demolished the AAP with his own hands in front of his lakhs of followers. That would also mean like watching another movie ‘nightmare on EVM street’. So he had no option but to cast aspersions on EVM’s and ECI too, to salvage his fake pride and popularity.

‘How did the Akalis get 30 per cent vote share when an AAP sweep was a foregone conclusion? No one said Congress will perform so well and it got a two-third majority. We suspect that 20-25 per cent of AAP votes may have been transferred to SAD-BJP through EVM tampering,” > Arvind Kejriwal

To allege 20-25 per cent of AAP votes transfer to SAD-BJP , one has to undertake several days of investigation on ground level, by identifying the suspected constituencies first and then target select polling booths to undertake investigations with actual declared results booth wise, to prove his point.

To substantiate his allegation he ought to have studied the entire process of conducting polls with EVM’s, it’s layout, panel, and functioning. He did nothing but made slanderous allegation venting his anger.

What factors caused AAP ‘s unexpected poor performance in Punjab ? Kejriwal’s over confidence

At the outset his over confidence has blinded him to ignore Modi’s magic of demonetization, commitment to improve the conditions of Farmers etc This positive impact of PM Modi’s economic policies certainly increased SAD-BJP vote share when compared to the figures of early surveys.

Secondly the outside non Punjabi AAP leaders, and mediocre NRI junket in Punjab have all caused severe damage to the image of AAP.

Thirdly, the sober and pleasant Captain Amarinder and Siddhu’s image, and their joint sailing has changed the scenario in totality.

Fourthly Kejriwal ‘s repeated faux pas on sensitive Sikh religious issues and his tactical aligning with extremist Khalistan forces has angered general public.

The Psephologists and sympathetic media together have mislead Kejriwal in deceptive manner. Their failure to evaluate the changing mood of the voters has disturbed Kejriwal.

His mind was then, solidly filled with the false notion of an AAP sweep. But the results shocked him to disbelief. This lead to the wild and irresponsible allegation of EVM tampering. The strange thing is, the whole media, experts, Pollsters were all dissecting by holding one EVM panel before them. Kejriwal’s allegation imply that the ruling dispensation has conspired with Poll panel and other Government officials and tampered EVM

Kerjiwal is not clear on his allegation. He did not spell out, when the possible tampering would have taken place?

1) Was it during the assembly of EVM units?
2) Was it during casting of the front panels with contesting candidates and party symbols?
3) Was it before the polls, that is during distribution of EVM’s to polling officers?
4) Was it during the time of Poll?
5) Was it during the time of handing over the EVM’s to the District Authorities in strong rooms?
OR
6) Was it during the dormant period in between the polls and counting day ?

Any attempt to tamper the EVM s at any stage as listed above, is highly impracticable, treacherous, incredible and seditious too.

Let us understand the ground reality in Punjab and the near impossible tampering of EVMs in the given situation as below.

Toal Assembly seats 117

The magic figure is 59

Total polling stations approximately in each Constituency 100-120

Total no of EVMs used ( approximately ) 117 x 150 = 17,000 EVMs (appprox)

Out of total 17,000 EVMs how many EVM’s are required to be tampered in how many ACs in order to transfer 25-30% of AAP Votes to SAD-BJP all over Punjab?

How to chose the constituencies and polling booths at first place for a grand conspiracy of tampering?

If under the scenario 1, how many EVM’s should be tampered out of total 17K pieces, if it were to be tampered ready before polls and distribution?

If under the scenario 2, only Government officers, assistants would have to do the possible tampering , say around 1000 guys? is it possible? not frightening ?

If under the scenario 3, tampering must have taken place in Government offices, buildings, with the help of Government officers just before distribution in Dist HQ’s

If under the scenario 4, was tampering feasible in front of all party polling agents, polling officials, Returning officers? even presuming it is possible, how many ‘rigging’ volunteers would have entered in each Polling Stations and done the drama in front of all ?

If under the scenario 5, only top official officials of ECI, and other related State and Central Government officials must have been involved in it.

If under the scenario 6, tampering is possible only with the aid of top gadgets, remote sensors, high end scanners from a distance.

Now let us peruse the EVM and the manner the contestants are listed on the panel?

EVM is a single unit machine, which works on batteries without any network connectivity. They are made up of two machines, one is the control unit and the other is the balloting unit. A presiding officer is in charge of the control unit and once the vote is ready to be cast, the officer activates the balloting unit. The voter then presses a button to register their vote for a particular candidate. The machine can record 64 different candidates at one point of time.

The EVM s layout and panel of candidates change from constitution to constitution. A candidate contesting on AAP symbol may have been placed in second place in one AC,, and may appear 3rd in another AC. So it is not possible to foresee the arrangement of EVMs .

Each EVMs can cater to a maximum of 64 candidates. There is provision for 16 candidates in a Balloting Unit. If the total number of candidates exceeds 16, a second Balloting Unit can be linked parallel to the first Balloting Unit. Similarly, if the total number of candidates exceeds 32, a third Balloting Unit can be attached and if the total number of candidates exceeds 48, a fourth Balloting Unit can be attached to cater to a maximum of 64 candidates.

As per the amended section 38 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951
and revised Form 4 (List of validly nominated candidates) and Form 7A (List
of contesting candidates), names of candidates in the said lists are required to
be arranged under three categories, i.e. (i) candidates of recognised National
parties and State political parties in the State concerned, (ii) candidates of
registered unrecognized political parties and (iii) other (independent)
candidates. Therefore, names of candidates will be arranged in the said lists .

So it is very commonsense, that , in one AC, AAP candidate may figure on top first place on the EVM, if no National Party is contesting there, as part of seat sharing, and may figure 3rd in another AC, where 2 or 3 top National Parties contesting. So tampering technique and precision differs from AC to another AC. In this manner how many EVM s are required to be tampered to achieve a favorable result in a manner well planned?

It is practically impossible to tamper several EVMs to get a favorable results the way you wish in a constituency.

All defeated leaders were talking about tampering of a single EVM and possibility of its tampering! but ignores the futility of tampering of several machines in a particular constituency in a coordinated manner in select polling booths, with an objective to achieve an outcome in favor of a particular party candidate.

This is malicious propaganda by sulking Kejriwal. Even media should restrain from giving much publicity on this smear and create a suspicion in the minds of voters, instead of hailing this biggest democratic challenge which was successfully held in India.

This is end of AAP and it’s chief Arvind Kejriwal’s dubious designs of defrauding the nation in the very name of honesty.
