How India can strategically destroy Pakistan?

On the first day of January 2010, India and Pakistan inched a step closer towards each other. Two leading media houses, The Jang Group of Pakistan, and The Times of India in India had created a joint campaign called “Aman ki Asha”, aimed for mutual harmony and growth of political and cultural relations between India and Pakistan. India has never had a dearth of gutless romantics and their hopeless reveries, but it was amusing to see that Pakistan had a horde of them too. Aman ki Asha provided a common platform for liberals of both countries to sermonize about the need for peace and the campaign also provided a number of jobless Pakistani artists to leave their godforsaken, sorry excuse of a nation and settle in India where democracy and secularism reigns. They made it big here. What did India gain out of it? NOTHING.

In the same year there were bombings in Pune and Varanasi. Next year, there were terror attacks in Delhi and Mumbai and then Hyderabad, Bangalore, Bodh Gaya, Patna, Pathankot and today 17 brave army men lost their lives in the dastardly Uri Attack.

The bottom line of it is that India has never gained anything out of conventions and campaigns and deliberations and dossier-handlings, and till the Army and Non-State actors are calling the shots in Pakistan, none of the aforementioned tricks will work ever. The solution lies in a hawk like approach. India needs to challenge the existing state of affairs and show a glimpse of its martial might to Pakistan.

Here are some of the possible alternatives:

Kill the Peace Doves

Like Charity, change begins at home too and hence Pakistan sympathizers in India need to be gotten rid of.  There is a strong pro Pakistan lobby in the garb of the Hurriyat Conference and it has brewed toxic concoction from religion, terrorism and politics but they are not the only one. There is a strong Pro-Pakistan lobby in Delhi. They pose as activists, NGOs, Media Channels, Liberals, college unions and what not. Barkha Dutt’s pro-Kashmir and Pro-Pakistan stance shouldn’t be news for anyone and how a bunch of JNU hooligans shouted for the annihilation of their own nation is known to everyone. There is a Mani Shankar Aiyar who goes to Pakistan and urges them to interfere in the functioning of the democratically elected government of India. There is a Sudheendra Kulkarni who acts as a propaganda tool for a Pakistani army general. Hurriyat poisons minds in the valley while these liberals do it for the mainlanders. India cannot be successful unless it frees its lands of these vermins. There should be an absolute gag order and non-compliance should attract penal actions.

Dig up the India-Pakistan passages

Pakistan has always been at war with India. Ever since the two nations were carved out of Undivided India, Pakistan has been at war with India. No amount of deliberations and treaties can bridge the gap between the two countries. And when two nations are at war, there is no point opening transportation passages. Sada-e-Sarhad – That connects Delhi with Lahore, Thar Express that connects Jodhpur to Karachi, Samjhauta Express that connects Delhi and Attari with Lahore need to be stopped immediately. There may be some disgruntled commuters with families in Pakistan. But that shouldn’t dissuade the authorities from stopping the services.

Defy the Indus Waters Treaty:

When the Indus Waters Treaty was signed in Karachi on September 19, 1960 Pakistan expressed suspicions about the agreement. Since the Source Rivers of the Indus basin were in India, it could potentially create droughts and famines in Pakistan, especially at times of war. But since 1960, India and Pakistan have not engaged in any water wars.

It is amusing to see how Indus Water Treaty went on to become one of the most successful international water sharing treaties in the world despite being an agreement between possibly the two most hostile nations ever.

It is precisely because, the choice of regulating water remains in India’s hands and India has dutifully kept nurturing its enemy nation. Indus Water Treaty would have been a colossal disaster, had they been in the commanding position.

So India has given Pakistan 56 years of peace as far as water wars are concerned, it’s time India defy the treaty and create mayhem in Pakistan. India’s tolerance has been misused, Pakistan must realize it and realization, I am told, hits harder when throat is parched and stomach is unfilled.

Disregard the Cease Fires:

October 2014, barely 5 months after the Modi government was elected in, Indian Armed forces launched an offensive against Pakistan that had the latter gasping for breath. Indian Army was given a free hand. As per a DailyMail report, the destruction on the Pakistani side was so high that Pakistan, according to an internal report sent to South Block by the Indian mission in Islamabad was “ducking for cover”. Pakistan had to order a media blackout of sorts in Pakistan’s affected areas, so as to conceal the extent of fatalities suffered. India is capable of performing the same feat and a feat of much higher magnitude. This is the right time to disregard the cease fires. When they don’t respect it and resorts to unprovoked aggression, why should we sit back?

Killing and neutralizing terrorists is not going to help because terrorists are bred in terror farms for the sole purpose of getting ‘martyred’ in the holy Jihad. India should aim to inflict as many casualties as possible along the LoC. Unless Pakistan loses men by the thousands, it will not understand the language of peace.

Establish Pakistan as Terror state:

India is an invaluable member of countless international forums and its admittance to NSG and UNSC is inevitable.

India exports approximately 7500 commodities to about 190 countries. India is the primary export-import partner of several countries. It is a global hub of the services industry, a thriving start-up circuit and leading manpower supplier to industries worldwide. In a nutshell, India is an international force and a major player in the global economy. It is more favourable for other countries than Pakistan, any given day. We should simply call off trade ties with countries that have trade ties with Pakistan. I know it sounds amateurish and even desperate at this point of time but unless India puts up an aggressive stance, things aren’t going to change and Pakistan will comfortably snuggle under the warmth of global blanket.

The Incumbent government has a huge task ahead. The nation of 1.25 billion is livid and it wants results. No amount of condemnations can calm the wrath of the nation. Readers might disregard this piece as rants of a warmonger, but unless they are complete nincompoops, they must understand that peace can only be achieved through war.
