NIT Srinagar under attack. GOI WAKE UP

NIT Srinagar under attack. GOI WAKE UP

According to the Non-Kashmiri Students, After India lost the World T20 semi-final to West Indies on Thursday, some Kashmiri students chanted anti-India slogans and burst firecrackers. They even tried to thrash students from other states who were watching the match in their hostel rooms. According to one student “Even on Friday, a group of students assembled on the campus and raised anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans. Many outsiders also joined the protests”. In retaliation Non Kashmiris waved the Indian Tricolor and chanted ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and since then NIT Srinagar has turned into a battleground.

I found it difficult to contain my emotions after looking at the absolutely appalling pictures and videos that the students have shared on the Facebook Page that they have created.

I personally talked to a few students of NIT Srinagar. According to them a CRPF team is inside the college campus and ARE WAITING FOR ORDERS FROM GOI. This is completely insane. Ministry of HRD and MHA should immediately look into the situation. Also Police has lathicharged them for silent protests on more than one occasions and hurled tear bombs at them. The students of NIT Srinagar are terrified but not broken yet. Bharat Mata ki Jai can be found in every post of theirs.

I am posting some of their updates to give you an idea about how bad the situation at NIT Srinagar actually is.

Here are their posts:

Innocent students are being beaten up guys…..what is the government waiting for? WE NEED HELP! WE NEED UNBIASED SECURITY! WE NEED POLICE THAT PROTECTS NOT INJURE INNOCENTS!  U guys can see how badly the jkp is beating these students!
People bled for supporting NATIONALISM!
PLEASE GIVE US PROTECTION!

NIT Srinagar Students are demanding TIRANGA back, which JKP (Kashmir) Police seized from students when they were on a silent protest in the park outside Boys Hostels.

Students were Lathicharged very badly, resulting in serious injuries to more than 200 students. Some even attempted suicide. We are under a boiling pressure. CRPF sent by Centre is still waiting for orders and Kashmir police is injuring students in their own hostel rooms.

WE WANT HELP!!!!!
MEDIA COVERAGE IS BEING STOPPED BY THE KASHMIR POLICE.

WHERE IS INDIA???
WHERE IS UNITY???
WE ARE BEING PRESSURIZED BY THE COLLEGE ADMINISTRATION BY ALL MEANS BE IT LATHI CHARGE OR TEAR GAS FIRING.

WE ARE STUDENTS AGAINST THE INJUSTICE.
PLEASE HELP.. BEFORE ONE OF US DIES
PLEASE HELP BRING MEDIA INSIDE CAMPUS SO THAT REAL IMAGE IS SHOWN TO THE COUNTRY.

Is Govt., College administration waiting one of us to die?
‪#‎get_lost_jkp‬

After an unfruitful meeting with director and other staff including administration, students gathered to confront media so that someone may address their voices .During the peaceful protest, jk police not only abused us but also lathi charged us and some of us got severely injured and got minor and major injuries…This was all unprovoked…..We r now just a prisoners here of jk police who r victims of their brutality , locked within our hostels ….We don’t feel safe with even police now….The college administration are against us and army too is unable to save us….

NIT Srinagar

Shameful act of JKP. Unprovoked lathi charge. Many innocent students severely injured and hundreds got minor and major injuries. College is allowing police to beat us. We don’t want police in campus. Further details , facts and proofs will b available soon. Protest still going on.

It’s disheartening, to experience how it’s normal that on Indian mainland we can’t be assured security outside of the college. It’s like we have assumed that its normal to be attacked if you step out and its ok to live in fear.

We can’t believe that people say things like “Don’t talk about all this, else you will have problems when you go out, like to see doctors etc..”

The rumors and false reports about the protests being off are wrong. And its not just a mere handful of people its the voice of all.

We are all children of India and in such unpleasant conditions saying “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” brings a sense of happiness and hope in us. So here we gather once again on Day 2 of the protests. saying..

“Bharat Mata Ki Jai”

We have the photo of a student who got injured on 1st April in the NIT Campus.

‪#‎SaveNITSrinagar‬.

Imagine if this had happened in Dehli ? What would have happened ? If authorities cannot guarantee the safety of students from the outside stone pelters it’s better to shift the NIT to a safer location.

This is a national institution and students pay to study in it, we expect a national standard. It’s not okay to jeopardize the safety of the students. This boy could have been even more gravely injured from the blow to his head.

This cannot go on and the stone pelters cannot be allowed to go scot-free there needs to be action against them!! Students aren’t supposed to face all this!!!

This is not a rare event, anyone can hurl in stones at any time. How do you expect students to study then ? Is this how these people are treated in rest of India ?

This is a picture of a student from first year who was beaten by police this morning when we were coming out of our hostels to peacefully hold a protest with our demands. Is this what NIT SRINAGAR doing to protect us? Our director is allowing police to beat the students. We are students not prisoners. We are speaking for atrocities against us. We don’t fear if the police does this one million more times to us. We are not gonna step back. The police can’t tell us to shut our mouths on our demands.

It is very unfortunate that in our India we are unsafe and crying for security.Since recently I was in Srinagar with family and shocked that whole Sirinagar is fully dominated with only one community.
Now this is the NIT mishaps ,what the more Gov. is waiting ? In any country this type situation can be possible! In Pakistan or any one.
    This is totally unacceptable

And this is called democracy.. Ministry and rules are always biased.. Not a new thing to observe but hosting national flag and chanting our own slogan bharat Mata ki jai isn’t a crime if it’s a crime then Indian govt has to stop all those school’s assemblies where all students gather and waste their energy and time… When there’s the issue of that jnu govt started gathering and favour them who are anti-india and now where are they?,, ,, m seriously crying ? even hosting our tricolor isn’t banned in other nations..
A big shame on our so called democracy
