For a while I have wondered why we don’t have a Fascist Party of India considering we do have a couple of Political Parties that adhere to a Mass Murdering Ideology that has killed several times the number of people murdered by Fascism. It has always intrigued me how the Intellectuals of our age are mortified by the terrible havoc wreaked by Hitler in Fascist Germany but have no qualms in supporting Communism or even furthering Communism in the Political Sphere and often go out of their lengths to rationalize the Gross Violation of Human Rights that Communism has inflicted over the ages.
And what is more bewildering, although we have Communism in our midst, dead and decaying but dominant in certain regions and spheres nonetheless, the Intellectuals are more concerned about ‘Rising Fascism’ than the actual Murdering Ideology that continues to operate in our Political System. And even worse, the Intellectuals seem oblivious to the crimes that continue to be committed by the Left while actively conducting a Witch Hunt labelling everyone who disagrees with them or stands up to them as ‘Fascist.’ Thus, Donald Trump is a Fascist, Narendra Modi is a Fascist, every Republican candidate since the last few decades is a Fascist, and every conservative leader is a Fascist.
Fascism is dead. In today’s day and age, it is extremely difficult to come across individuals who openly claim to be Fascist. Thus, Trump who merely says America should send away Illegal Immigrants from their land and should deny entry to Muslim Refugees from Syria is equated to Hitler who actually murdered Jews in Concentration Camps. As for Narendra Modi, why is he even called a Fascist I would never understand considering how he has come up short in controlling even members of his own Party or taking firm action against Libellous Slander by the Media time and again?
One would think considering how Fascism is dead but Communism is well and alive, even thriving in India one might add, Intellectuals would be more concerned with Communism than they are with Fascism but evidently that is not the case. The Crimes of Communism are ignored, rationalized, even justified by Intellectuals of our Age while Conservative leaders continue to be vilified and condemned by labelling them as Fascists without even proper justification.
For example, can we have a road named after Adolf Hitler in any Civilized Society in this day and age without soliciting Severe Condemnation or even Legal Action? But we Indians are perfectly alright with Roads named after Stalin and Mao and Lenin. Intellectuals have no problem with Che Guevera merchandise but would definitely lose their shit (Sorry for the language but no other words effectively capture the essence of the emotions I want to convey) if there were merchandise glorifying Hitler doing the rounds. Obama’s Communications Director, Anita Dunn cited Mao Tse Tsung as one of her favourite Political Philosophers and got away without losing her job. Imagine if Donald Trump’s Campaign manager cites Hitler as his/her Political inspiration, would that incite the same sort of Leniency from the Intellectual Elite? The United States has gone from waging war against Communist Vietnam to having A Pot-Smoking Socialist serious Presidential Contender in the Space of a Few decades. Socialism is after all Communism by another means to achieve the same objective. Stalin was a Socialist as well. It should peak our Curiosity that after Hitler, it is impossible for anyone to hold any position of power in Civilized Countries by labelling himself a Fascist but even after Stalin, Mao and Rouge, it is very possible for people to gain Political Power by calling themselves Communist or Socialist.
Even more intriguing is the fact that people even in the Right claim that Fascist measures are being pursued by people who claim to be the Anti-Fascist Brigade. Actually, that is not an accurate description of the events that we are witnessing in Western Universities and even some of the Indian Universities today. In reality, Communist measures are being pursued by people who associate themselves with the Left. It is not Fascism which drives students in JNU or Western Universities to disrupt classes, enforce Censorship in Campuses in the name of Safe Space or other such Phony Excuse, its Leftist Ideology. It’s not Fascism which drives students in Universities to deny entry to Conservative Speakers in Campuses, be it Milo or Baba Ramdev, its Censorship by Leftist Ideologies.
And one must be reminded that it’s not Fascism behind Maoist Insurgency, it’s the Left Ideology. It’s not Fascism which is claiming the lives of RSS workers in Kerala, its Communists.
Our Intellectuals must be honest with themselves while dealing with the whole situation, that Communism is as Sinister an Ideology as Fascism and is not the Fairy Tale that so many of our Youth imagine it to be. Our Intellectuals must ask and corner the Communist demanding Azadi to name one Communist Regime where people can claim to have their Human Rights unhindered by Political Pressure. Intellectuals must come to terms with the fact that both Communism and Fascism killed people for who they were, one for being Jewish and another for being against or perceived to be against the Existing Communist Regime. Our Intellectuals must recognise the fact that Fascism as an Ideology is dead but Communism is very much alive and deserves to be taken down. But of course, asking people to give up their delusions and look at events for as they are is too much to ask.
One must be reminded here that it’s not ‘Fascist’ regimes which are assaulting Freedom of Expression, it’s the Left. The Left refused to stand up for Charlie Hebdo when they were victims of Islamic Terrorism. It’s the Left that refused to stand up for Kamlesh Tiwari when he was arrested under NSA for saying Muhammad was homosexual. It’s the Left that is denying people entry to Universities merely because of their Political Opinions. It’s the Left which has committed the highest number of Political Murders. The greatest assault to Freedom of Expression is coming from the Left, not from Conservatives or Fascists as Liberals like to call us and its high time Intellectuals recognise this fact and act accordingly. Otherwise, the consequences won’t be particularly fruitful.
