Hindustan Times says LetsTalkAboutTrolls, all of them are Right Wingers

An eminent orator, Richard Garnett, once said, ‘Every veil desires to be lifted, except the veil of hypocrisy.’ Now, the mainstream media of India, once the darling of the masses, is now as relevant to the common Indian as communism to mainstream politics. According to an external survey , as conducted under the watchful of the World Economic Forum, Indian media is without doubt the second least trusted one in the world, while surprisingly, for the first time in years, the Indian government is the second most trusted in the world.

However, as our elders said once, a clap isn’t struck by a solitary hand. Those who think it is the joint conspiracy of the Indian government, their technically sound stooges, and their brand of RSS styled goons, they need to wake up, and wake up hard. The Indian media, whose primary jobs is to facilitate the smooth flow of strict, bold and unadulterated information of the modern world. Instead, the media is hell bent on licking the boots of its erstwhile masters, who conveniently robbed the nation of its hard earned wealth, while giving unlimited patronage and undue privileges to such scribes. I don’t need to mention the facilities given by ex Minister of Culture from UPA government to the driving force behind India Today news Channel, and a wannabe boxer from Madison Square, 2014, do I?

Into this hullabaloo, we hear of a recent campaign called LetsTalkAboutTrolls, as launched by Hindustan Times [whose penchant for anything anti Modi or anti India is hidden from none], against an apparent horde of savages, or what they term as TROLLS, who are driven by a sinister agenda to submit the harbingers of the ideals of true democracy and liberty into silence.

Their aim is to make people aware of the slander and abuse the apparent celebrities on social media have to face in the name of sarcasm and retorts. While the campaign could’ve been planned with a well defined intention, the following stream of MSM and SM celebs, who were soon to be associated with the campaign LetsTalkAboutTrolls deprived Hindustan Times of honest backers at any rate:-

  • LetsTalkAboutTrolls Celeb#1 – Barkha Dutt, ex media head of NDTV, and opinionated journalist
  • LetsTalkAboutTrolls Celeb#2 – Gurmehar Kaur, opinionated student of English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College f, affiliated to the University of Delhi, the face behind #WarKilledHim campaign and the daughter of slain commando, Captain Mandeep Singh
  • LetsTalkAboutTrolls Celeb#3 – Rana Ayyub – Well, what should we say about Rana Ji?

Also they plan to control trolls by ‘slaying’ them as pointed outca by tfipost.com founder Atul Kumar Mishra:

To slay someone is to kill them in a violent way. Is Barkha Dutt advocating murder here? Trolls must be dealt with legally, not murdered. https://t.co/wD16sz6ha9

— Atul Kumar Mishra (@TheAtulMishra) April 16, 2017

Yes, the anti troll campaign LetsTalkAboutTrolls begins with the backing of those, who have been biggest trolls themselves by the virtue of actions, along with the likes of Rajdeep, Sagarika, Abhisar Sharma, Ravish Kumar (He trolls on TV Screens not on SM) and of course Swati Chaturvedi who had enough free time to write an entire book on trolls.

While the English dictionary officially defines troll as ‘a person who makes a deliberately offensive or provocative online post’, the reality is quite vague, and tough to understand.

Although there can be many opinions, and views about trolls, but a commonly accepted definition of a troll can be as follows:-

IN INDIA (And strictly as per FIBERAL standards),

‘A TROLL is a social media user, who is adroit in the art of words, and makes witty / sarcastic comments on the opinions of certain personalities, usually loaded with hard facts, which can also convert into online roast as well.’

If we go by this logic, Barkha Dutt and Gurmehar Kaur are the last persons on earth who should be asked to campaign the LetsTalkAboutTrolls Campaign, for both are notorious for their biased statements and actions that have ashamed Indians more than making them proud of their apparent cry of feminism.

To speak of Gurmehar, her association with trolls began from the day she posted a pic of herself holding a sheet, on which was written:-

‘I’m a DU student and I’m not afraid of ABVP’

This statement was made in regard to the tussle which occurred in Ramjas College, when students affiliated with right winged, nationalist student union, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, got into a violent fight with students affiliated to the communism influenced Students Federation of India and All India Students Association. Apparently, Gurmehar had posted in favor of the painted victims, that is the left aligned students.

Okay, now for facts. ABVP is a student union, Miss Gurmehar Kaur, not a terrorist organization, that we should be afraid of them. Why should anybody, forget DU, be afraid of ABVP? Just because they align to nationalist school of thought? Or is it because, they love the holy tricolor more than you do? In fact, Gurmehar is the same idealist who blamed India for instigating the war in her notorious #WarKilledHim campaign, trying to garner sympathy in the name of her father, Captain Mandeep Singh, who died when Gurmehar was barely two, apparently in the Kargil War, as shown in the video issued by ‘Voice of Ram’

Now for facts. Neither Gurmehar is an Indian, nor was her father killed in the Kargil War. In fact, though he was killed in 1999, he was actually killed in the post war combing operations, in one of such operations, codenamed Operation Rakshak. However, that didn’t stop the scheming student from gaining sympathy in the name of her father, and attempting to trade the honor earned by her father for some cheap fame. Well, I can’t tell about sleazy savages, but no self respecting daughter of an armed forces personnel would trade the honor of her father for some cheap fame and a ticket to the seat of power, and unfortunately, Miss Gurmehar Kaur is grossly guilty of the same.

This would’ve been still okay, and worth ignoring, had she not painted all the rape threats sent to her as ‘right winged’ and ‘nationalist’, deriding any logical voice of opposition as a pervert, with an agenda of pseudo nationalism, if I may quote in her diction. To make this blot of a student, as well as a woman as the face of the anti troll campaign LetsTalkAboutTrolls is not only a mockery, but a joke on the freedom of speech and expression itself.

I hope the readers remember the fate of firebrand wrestler Babita Phogat, who had the audacity to troll one of such pseudo intellectuals, Rana Ayyub back in her own coin. So according to the dictionary of Indian intellectuals, only Gurmehar, who is not even an Indian in the strictest of the sense, has the freedom of speech and expression. Any opposition to her is a glaring example of the intolerance. No wonder one gentleman said in the apt sense about such hypocrites, ‘The one thing by which hypocrites get offended the most is the truth.’ Yes, speak the truth, with hard facts in your hand, and you’ll be labeled a troll. I hope Vir Das is listening.

Now on Barkha Dutt, who is labeled as one of the main voice behind the anti troll campaign LetsTalkAboutTrolls of Hindustan Times. What was HT thinking when they thought to implement this decision? Have they forgot the hypocrisy that this scheming journalist has displayed on infinite occasions, when it came to practicing journalism. How can one associate the journalist who justifies the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits with a campaign against online abuse? Do I need to remind her of this:-

Dissent is a part of life, so these people preach, especially Barkha Dutt, who glorified seditionist student and ex JNUSU president, Kanhaiyya Kumar, as a ‘rising political star’, and painted dreaded terrorist Burhan Muzaffar Wani as the ‘innocent son of a poor school headmaster’. Well, my understanding might be different as compared to others, but which school headmaster owns a three storeyed building, that too armed with a car way beyond his paying ability? However, my words would be a threat to her existence, and she’d denigrate people like us as mere ‘abusers and stalkers’, and even go to the extent of destroying the career of people like Chaitanya Kunte, whose only crime was to target Barkha Dutt for her shoddy reporting of the 26/11, and the way in which she gave the terrorists the license to martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

If we scratch our heads, Barkha Dutt is the same journalist who was responsible for the murder of 11 soldiers of the Ghatak platoon, thanks to her coverage, which leaked important details about the attack on Tiger Hill, and had it not been for the valor of Grenadier [Now Subedar] Yogendra Singh Yadav, Tiger Hill would’ve been lost, and so would have Kargil War. Even a third standard student can guess the agenda  being served in such a campaign, with such faces behind them.

This list doesn’t end here. I haven’t even included the likes of Suchitra Krishnamoorthy, Karan Johar, Shobhaa De, Vir Das, Shruti Seth, as the list goes ad infinitum. I know that HT goes by the dictum of ‘Agenda Uncha Rahe Hamara’, but this is too much. God forbid, if this LetsTalkAboutTrolls campaign really succeeds, freedom of speech expression would literally be reduced to a mere joke. Then Gurmehar’s freedom of speech is freedom of speech, but our freedom of speech is a crime. Does it hurt, dear Liberals?
