President Joe Biden in recent months can be seen taking many contentious actions, which highlights his deep frustration and desperation following the Donald Trump sweeping of US Presidential elections. His recent decisions highlight the ‘deep state’ theory of US politics. Biden not only pardoned 39 individuals but also pardoned his own son, Hunter Biden, in two cases, which drew criticisms for his actions. Yet in another decision, giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to George Soros has opened a big debate on Biden. The decision clearly points out the nexus between money, power, and foreign influence in US politics. This award is the highest civilian honour the nation can confer, and to bestow it on someone like Soros, who has been actively involved in influencing politics worldwide, has raised very serious concerns.
Soros, an unfit man for the Highest Civilian Award
George Soros is a Hungarian-American businessman, and one of the wealthiest individuals in the world. Soros is the founder of the non-profit organization Open Society Foundations (OSF) where he has spent billions to fulfill his vested agenda of destabilizing many countries by manipulating national policies of other countries.
One of Soros’s most infamous actions was his role in the 1992 Black Wednesday crisis, when he bet against the British pound, causing the currency to collapse and costing Britain an estimated $5.5 billion. His actions contributed to the financial strain and instability of the UK, earning him the nickname “the man who broke the Bank of England.”
Soros has been often found meddling in the internal affairs of several nations, often using his wealth and influence to shape political landscapes to his advantage. In Hungary, for example, the government passed the “Stop Soros” law in response to his efforts to flood the country with illegal migrants under the guise of humanitarian aid. Similarly, Russia banned OSF, citing its operations as a “threat to national security.”
In India too, Soros has been linked to various NGOs that have actively worked against the country’s national interests. He has openly criticized the nationalistic policies of the Indian government, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for what he described as “authoritarianism.” Soros’s foundation has funded organizations that have opposed policies like the Citizenship Amendment Act and the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
The highest civilian award of the US is presented to people who have made “exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values or security of the US, world peace or other significant societal, public or private endeavours.” However, George Soros has only made exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values or security of the Democratic Party, not the US. Instead of contributing to world peace, Soros has destabilized the economy, politics and society from England to Indonesia and tried to destabilize India for his own benefit. Soros certainly did not qualify for the highest award, but Biden paid the due of his money for the Democrats campaign through the highest civilian honour.
There have been repeated accusations of the alliance between the Democratic Party and the notorious George Soros and the awarding of the prestigious civilian award to him by Joe Biden confirms the truth behind the accusations. Conferring Soros with the Highest Civilian Award also underlines that the Democratic Party has formally accepted George Soros as their stiff ally in front of the world. Speculations point out at the coming back of Donald Trump being the reason behind the formal move.
Soros’s Involvement in India and Connection with Congress
The bestowing of George Soros by the Democratic Party comes a month after the Bharatiya Janata Party highlighted the attempts being made by the Deep State and the notorious George Soros of destabilizing India. On December 5th, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lashed out at Congress for collaborating with international entities. BJP referred to the report by the French Media Outlet Mediapart and highlighted a “dangerous triangle” involving billionaire George Soros, US-based agencies, and the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) that work with the Congress party to incite unrest in India.
Mediapart’s investigation revealed that nearly half of OCCRP’s funding comes from U.S. entities, including $47 million from the U.S. government. With its deep financial ties to U.S. agencies and backing from figures like George Soros, agencies like OCCRP carry out activities that causes rift among the people and India’s institutions which ultimately undermines the nation’s sovereignty.
Moreover, the links between Sonia Gandhi’s organisation Forum of the Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific (FDL-AP) Foundation and George Soros were exposed recently. Forum of the Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific (FDL-AP) Foundation whose Sonia Gandhi is the co-president received hefty funds from George Soros. FDL-AP too expressed its views of portraying Kashmir as a separate entity.
Also on the 8th of October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Indian National Congress of conspiring internationally to undermine India’s economy and democracy. PM Modi indicated that there are foreign powers who are trying to conspire against India. He said “For some time now, many conspiracies are being hatched against India. Many conspiracies are being hatched to weaken India’s democracy and social fabric. International conspiracies are being hatched. National parties like Congress and their allies are involved in this game.”
Before George Soros was awarded the highest civilian honor, there were only allegations regarding the connections between the Deep State, Soros, and various NGOs usual players in the ecosystem seeking to undermine India’s sovereignty. However, with the conferment of the award, this link has now been publicly highlighted and brought to the forefront on a grand scale.
