1) Suryavanshi [1992]:

No, we’re not talking about the Rohit Shetty directed cop caper! Long before people like Varun Dhawan equated Dilwale with ‘Inception’, there was a movie, that actually aimed to emulate Arnold Schwarznegger from ‘Conan the Barbarian’, and who better than our own Selmon Bhoi!

2) Soldier [1998]:

Riding high on the success of “Gupt”, this was the movie that actually established Bobby Deol as Lord Bobby, or DJ Bobby, as he is now affectionately called by memers!
The film’s high-energy performances and thrilling sequences make it a guilty pleasure that provides pure entertainment despite its flaws. So what if the film lifted “Cheri Cheri”s opening sequence for its iconic title track?

3) Sooryavansham [1999]:

If you’ve not seen this, neither your childhood was awesome, nor do you deserve to be called a movie buff! Starring Amitabh Bachchan in the double role of Thakur Bhanu Pratap and his own son, Heera, this movie is one hell of a ride, which most love for their fun night, but would hate to admit this in the public!

4) Dhadkan [2000]:

Anjali! You forget this film, is impossible, and I let you forget this film, is not what I’d go for! This film is popular, for both its soundtrack, and the illustrious journey of Dev, played by Sunil Shetty, who manages to set an industrious empire of more than 500 crores, in just 3 years. How he did it, is still a mystery!

5) Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham [2001]:

“Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham!” (2001) is a guilty pleasure for movie buffs due to its grandiose storytelling, extravagant sets, and iconic cast. Despite its lengthy runtime and occasional clichés, it remains a guilty pleasure that brings joy, nostalgia, and a sense of escapism to fans of Bollywood extravaganzas. Fun fact, no amount of lobbying could make KJo sweep the Filmfares for it, since it had competitors like “Lagaan” and “Gadar”!

6) Mass [2004]:

Thank Set MAX once again, for bringing this ‘gem’ of a Telugu movie out as. Dubbed ‘Meri Jung: The One Man Army”, “Mass” is a guilty pleasure for Telugu movie buffs due to its high-octane action, punchy dialogues, and larger-than-life performances. Despite its predictable plot and exaggerated elements, it remains a guilty pleasure that satisfies the craving for adrenaline-pumping entertainment and serves as a perfect escapism for movie enthusiasts.

7) Garam Masala [2005]:

A comedy film directed by Priyadarshan, “Garam Masala” stars Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. Known for its slapstick humor and comic timing, this film is a guilty pleasure for those who appreciate over-the-top comedic performances and absurd situations.

8) Dilwale [2015]:

Yeah right, this is the very flick that our Varunardo Di Caprio dared to compare to the eponymous “Inception” by Christopher Nolan! Bringing together Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol once again, “Dilwale” offers a blend of romance, action, and comedy. While it received mixed reviews upon release, it has found a place as a guilty pleasure for fans who croon over the nostalgic pairing and larger-than-life entertainment.

9) Saaho [2019]:

Before embarking on sullying his image with duds like “Radhe Shyam” and “Adipurush”, Prabhas joined the esteemed club of GPF [Guilty Pleasure Flicks] with his movie “Saaho”! A multilingual movie, starring Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor and Chunky Panday in principal roles, this movie was not the “Baahubali” epic cinema buffs expected, but was one hell of a entertainer, and despite massive criticism, actually managed to recover its costs as well!

10) Pushpa [2021]:

While this movie would definitely leave audiences divided, imagine the capacity of a movie that single handedly took on both “Spider Man: No Way Home” and the rising Omicron variant, apart from sinking the ‘Titanic’ of a movie that was “83”, “Pushpa” is one film that cinema buffs would love to play on loop, even if they won’t admit it in public!

So, go ahead and enjoy these guilty pleasures in the comfort of your own cinematic sanctuary!
