Bangalore Shivoham Shiva Temple – Guide 

Shivoham shiv Temple is the famous temple of lord Shiva is located in the old airport road of Bangalore. This temple was Built in the year 1995. It has a Shiva statue which is 65 ft tall. It is a famous Shiva temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Shiva and is a popular spiritual destination to the Hindu devotees.

History of this Temple

Shivoham Shiva Temple was earlier known as Shiva Temple. This temple was built in 1995 when the founder of the temple had a vision of a temple where a colossal idol of Lord Shiva would stand as a towering symbol of hope. It is also believed to have been built without blueprints or plans or using a measuring tape.

The temple was constructed on 26 February 1995 by Sri Shankaracharya of Sringeri. Shivoham Shiva Temple was renamed Shiva Temple in the year 2016, when the temple focus shifted to helping people achieve salvation by understanding the principles in ancient Vedic texts.

The main festival celebrated in this temple is Mahashivaratri in the month of February or March.

Bangalore Shivoham Shiva temple opens at 9:00 AM in the morning and close at 9:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 10:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:00 PM in the evening.

KR Puram Lake Park

This relatively newly constructed park covers an area of ​​40 acres and is situated on the banks of Lake Vengaihanakere.

Bangalore Palace

Bangalore Palace was purchased by His Highness Chamarajendra Wodeyar in the year 1873 and is known for its Tudor-style architecture. This palace is located in the centre of the city.

Yele Mallappa Shetty Lake

Vidhana Soudha is a popular landmark in the Garden City. In the year 1951 its foundation stone was laid by Jawaharlal Nehru  and was finally completed in the year 1956. This place is located at a distance of about few kms away from the temple.

Devanahalli Fort

The fort was in turmoil since its inception and is known to be one of the famous places to visit in Bangalore. This fort is located at a distance of about few kms away from the temple.

Attara Kacheri

Attara Kacheri is a red colored building at the entrance of Cubbon Park which was built during the reign of ruler Tipu Sultan. This place is located at a distance of about few kms away from the temple.

How to reach Bangalore Shivoham Shiva Temple

By Air- The nearest airport from Bangalore Shivoham Shiva Temple is Kempegowda International Airport Bangalore which is at a distance of about few kms away from the temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.

By Train- The nearest railway station from Shivoham Shiva Temple is Bangalore City Railway Station which is at a distance of 12 km away from the temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.

By Road- Roads are well connected to reach this temple. You have to first reach this Bangalore City from any part of the country and from here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.
