Mansa Devi Temple, Bilaspur – Overview
Panchkula Mansa Devi Temple temple is a famous Hindu temple located in Bilaspur village of Panchkula district of Haryana. This temple is a famous pilgrimage center of Panchkula. The distance of this temple from Chandigarh is just 11 kms. This temple of Mansa Devi is spread over an area of about 100 acres.
History of Mansa Devi Temple
The construction work of Mansa Devi Temple located in Panchkula was started by Maharaja Gopal Singh of Mani Majra in 1811 AD and this temple was completed in 1815 AD. There are two temples situated in this temple complex.
The second temple was built in 1840 AD during the reign of the Maharaja of Patiala. Which is situated at a distance of about 200 meters from the temple of Mata Mansa Devi. After the independence of our country, when all the princely states merged with the Union of India, the king of Mani Majra appointed priests to look after and worship the presiding deities.
Later, due to the lack of proper facilities in the temple and the difficulties faced by the devotees in worshiping, the Haryana Government took over the temple and established the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board (SMMDSB). After which there was a lot of improvement seen in this temple.
Architecture of this Temple
The Mansa Devi temple is built in the Panchayatan pattern with four temples at the four main corners with the main temple (the fifth temple) located at the centre. White marble stone has been used in the construction of this temple. The main temple has been prepared with amazing design. In which there are thirty-eight panels of wall paintings besides floral designs on the walls and ceilings.

Yadavindra Garden: This garden is also known as Pinjore Garden. This garden is located in Pinjore city of Haryana. It was built around the 17th It was built according to the Mughal architectural style. Which had become emaciated due to getting older. Which was later renovated by the Sikh rulers.
Sukhna Lake: This lake is located in the city of Chandigarh. It is mainly a reservoir built in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is a magnificent lake of soft water. People come from far and wide to spend some time by the banks of this lake.
Government Museum and Art Gallery: This museum is a major museum of North India located in the city of Chandigarh. There is a collection of Gandhara sculptures, statues, Pahari and Rajasthani miniature paintings of ancient and medieval India. It was built after the partition of India in 1947.

Capital Complex Tourist Center: This capital complex is located in Sector-1 of Chandigarh city. It is a government heritage. Which was designed by the famous architect Le Corbusier. It is spread over an area of about 100 acres.
Zakir Hussain Rose Garden: This Rose Garden is located in the city of Chandigarh. 1600 types of rose species are drunk in this. It is spread over about 30 acres of land. It was built in 1967 by Mohinder Singh Randhawa, the first Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh. This garden has the distinction of being the largest garden in Asia.

By Air- The nearest airport to Mansa Devi Temple is Chandigarh Airport. The distance of the temple from this airport is about 25.5 kms. You can reach here via taxi or bus from Chandigarh International Airport.
By Train- The nearest railway station to this temple is Chandigarh Railway Station which is at adistance 6.1kms from the temple. You can take a taxi or auto taxi from Chandigarh Railway Station to reach the temple complex.
By Road- You can also easily reach this temple through State Transport Corporation buses, private buses and taxis from any city of Haryana and Chandigarh.
