Jeen Mata Temple, Sikar – Overview
Jeen Mata Temple have a religious importance in local people located in the Sikar district of Rajasthan. It is located 29 km south of Sikar. The temple of Jeen Mata is situated in the hills of Aravalli, it is 115 km from Jaipur in Rajasthan.
It is surrounded by dense forest. An ancient temple of Shri Jeen Mata Ji is situated here. This holy temple of Jeen Mata is believed to be hundreds of years old. His full and real name was Jayantlal. History of this Temple
Jeen Mata was born in the house of Raja Ghangh of a Chauhan clan of Ghanghu village. Jeen had an elder brother Harsh, there was a lot of love between the two siblings. People used to consider Jeena as a goddess and Harsha as a form of Shiva.
It is said that one day Jeen went with her sister-in-law to draw water from the lake. There, Jeen and his sister-in-law got into an argument as to whom Harsh loves the most. They put a condition that Harsh loves the one whose pot will be taken off his head first and kept down.

After that Jeen got angry and started doing penance for Bhagwati on the peak of Aravalli Mountain and when Harsh went to persuade her, Jeen was engrossed in penance. After that Harsh also started doing penance of Lord Bhairav and then both became famous as Jeenmata Dham and Harshnath Bhairav.

Khatu Shyam Temple
Khatu Shyam Ji Temple is a famous pilgrimage site located in Khatu village of Sikar district, which is at a distance of 46 km from Sikar city. Devotees have great faith in this temple.
Every year on the auspicious occasion of Holi, a fair of Khatu Shyam ji is held here. In this fair, devotees and tourists from all over the country and abroad come to visit Baba Khatu Shyam ji. This temple has great importance in the tourist places of Sikar.
Laxmangarh
Laxmangarh is the main town located in Sikar district. The distance from Laxmangarh to Sikar is 28 kms. Laxmangarh Sikar Attractions Places is a popular tourist destination, which is known for the Laxmangarh Fort. The fort was built on the hill in 1862 by Rao Raja Laxman Singh of Sikar.
Harshnath Temple
The Harshnath Temple, belonging to the 10th century, is situated on the Aravalli hills near Sikar. It is an ancient site famous for the old Shiva temple ruins. The remains of an ancient Shiva temple can be seen at the site. The architectural display of the old temple can still be seen here. Another Shiva temple, built by Raja Shiv Singh of Sikar in the 18th century, is located near the Harshnath temple. This place in Sikar Tourist Palace has its own historical importance.
