Adipurush release postponed: There is a famous saying that says better be safe than sorry. To simply put, precaution is better than cure. The Bollywood cabal have been witnessing the fury of the disgruntled cinema audiences. They have suffered massive financial losses at the box office for not listening to the feedback of the cinephiles. Now, it seems that the entertainment industry or certain players have learned the tough lessons the hard way. They have realised that they can’t take audiences for granted and do things as per their whims and fancies.
Team ‘Adipurush’ buying time, will they do Justice in their reformed presentation?
Team Adipurush faced a massive backlash on the ‘Himalayan blunders’ in the teaser of their upcoming movie Adipurush. The teaser was released on 2nd of October in Ayodhya. But as soon as the teaser was aired, it was caught in the eye of the storm. People lambasted the production and directorial team for misrepresenting historical and highly revered religious characters. Netizens were strongly opposed to the ‘Mughal’ type portrayal of Lankesh, played by Saif Ali Khan, Pavan putra Hanuman ji and host of other character portrayals.

Amid all of this, it seems that the director of the movie, Om Raut and its star cast has realised that they have messed up big time. As per media reports, the team is trying hard to correct their grave blunders and for that it is ready to push the movie release to a further date. Evidently, media reports claim that Adipurush will no longer be released as per the earlier timeline.
Earlier, the movie was slated to be released on Makar Sankranti (Adipurush release postponed) next year, that is, on 12th of January 2023. It is being said that the official statement about the postponement of Adipurush will be released very soon.

Adipurush release postponed: A wise economic decision that respects the national sentiments
The main reason for the criticism of Adipurush and its portrayal is that sentiments and feelings of countless Hindu devotees are attached with the historical epic Ramayana. The film makers have claimed that they drew inspiration from Valmiki’s Ramayana to make their movie. That is why, nobody can overlook misrepresentation and wishful thinking of team Adipurush in the name of Cinematic liberty. A historical and timeless story of Prabhu Shri Ram’s victory over evil can’t and shouldn’t be adulterated with cool or trendy stuff. The film includes an acclaimed actor-director duo who had mesmerised audiences with their work and would want to not let the audience down this time as well.

Both Om Raut and Prabhas would not want to tarnish their reputation by misrepresenting a timeless epic Ramayana. It is an open secret that Ramayana is held in high esteem by devotees. Any adulteration with it will leave an untenable mark on their cinematic legacy. Both the director Om Raut and actor Prabhas have made a name for themselves through their iconic portrayal of their character. In this case, they are already playing iconic characters and portraying them can set them in a totally complete league.
The Bahubali actor Prabhas and ‘Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior’ director Om Raut have too much on the stake and can’t take the liberty of recklessness. They would want to be doubly sure and check all the right boxes before the release of the movie or even its trailer.
That is why, it is a wise decision of Prabhas and Om Raut to postpone the movie. They can still redeem their past glory and charm, if they can do justice with the timeless epic.
