Rahul Gandhi at Sonia’s feet: Liberals’ hypocrisy at its best

Rahul Gandhi at Sonia’s feet: Liberals’ hypocrisy at its best
Share on FacebookShare on X

Bharat Jodo Yatra Day 31: Morality in modern day is subject to political allegiance. A deed done by one person becomes an act of deception, while the same act done by another person is termed as loaded with virtues. The hypocrisy is so much there that people are choosing to air their hypocrisy on even a basic human mannerism like touching someone’s feet.

Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra

Rahul Gandhi is on what Congress party terms as a ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. It started on 7th September and the Congress’ He-man is slated to walk through 12 states, covering 3,500 kilometres in 5 months. Apart from the absurdity of the name of the political campaign, various other events during Rahul’s trip are grabbing the headlines. Remarkably, social media, supposed to take a different route than that of mainstream media, is also being weaponized by pro-Gandhi family people.

Soft messaging by mother-son duo

Recently, Congress matriarch and Rahul Gandhi’s mother Sonia Gandhi flew to Karnataka to join her son. In Mandya district of the state, she joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Day 31 at around 6:30 AM.

While walking, somehow Sonia Gandhi’s shoelaces got untied. Probably, Rahul Gandhi was the first one to notice it and he soon got down on his knee and helped her tie the shoelaces. As soon as appropriate pictures and videos of Rahul Gandhi helping his mother were taken, the mom-son duo continued with their padyatra.

But the party’s information dissemination machinery was quick to pounce on it. After all, it has been years for them before they could write something genuinely positive about Late Rajiv Gandhi’s sons. Official twitter handle of the Congress shared multiple pictures and video of the event. Astonishingly, they were able to find separate captions for them as well.

Amplifiers of Congress

The message got amplified and soon their support group of intellectuals jumped on to the scene. People like Vinod Kapri, Arfa Khanum Sherwani among others tweeted in favour of Rahul Gandhi. Vinod Kapri even went on to quote Munawwar Rana to buy some authenticity.

अभी ज़िंदा है माँ मेरी मुझे कुछ भी नहीं होगा
मैं घर से जब निकलता हूँ दुआ भी साथ चलती है

Arfa Khanum Sherwani commended Sonia Gandhi for what she termed as raising Rahul Well

A girl named Rea, who has also done reporting for ZeeHindustan and Times Network termed it as pure love.

PM Modi was criticised for meeting his mother

While sending out these tweets, the aforementioned individuals probably forgot how they had treated PM Modi when he cared for his mother. Time and again PM Modi keeps visiting his mother. There need not be any specific occasion, any festival or even any other political opportunity for that purpose. It is his routine right from the days even before he was Chief Minister of Gujarat.

When PM Modi visits his mother, a large contingent of cameras follows him, just in order to ensure the security of the most sought after leader on the global stage. It is obvious that pictures do get released and in a way it’s a good thing that the Prime Minister of a country has not forgotten his roots. Being a Prime Minister, passing such a message when consumerism, nihilism and hedonism is destroying minute aspects of human relationship, becomes more necessary.

Hypocrisy driven by power

But the same people who commended Rahul Gandhi for respecting his mother were busy castigating PM Modi when he did it. In fact, a netizen named Anshul Saxena has produced evidence of how political and ideological allegiances cloud human judgement of the aforementioned people.

Dekh rahe ho na Vinod. pic.twitter.com/CqLf59Faha

— Anshul Saxena (@AskAnshul) October 7, 2022

Dekh rahe ho na Vinod, yeh Journalist Arfa Khanum Sherwani hai. pic.twitter.com/N19PsfCqVw

— Anshul Saxena (@AskAnshul) October 7, 2022

Dekh rahe ho na Vinod, yeh koi actress Ria D'Souza hai. pic.twitter.com/5NqQcVPceZ

— Anshul Saxena (@AskAnshul) October 7, 2022

The exposure tweets present a beautiful theatrical picture of hypocrisy of the left-liberal cabal. It clearly shows that they do not stand for principle. They stand only for the people and not the thought process. Morality for them is just a tool to establish political dominance and power.

Yes, it is hypocrisy, but deep down the phenomenon is driven by high profile privileges they were getting during previous governments. They still think people won’t notice the obvious.
