Section 144 Mumbai: While the political turmoil has come to rest in Maharashtra, after the allocation of different symbols and names to both the factions of Shiv Sena, led by Uddhav Thackeray and CM Eknath Shidne respectively, it seems that something big is going to happen. Since the inception of the Shinde-Fadnavis government, there have been major efforts to correct the wrong doings of the unholy Maha Vikas Aghadi government. The very first decision was to clear the development project -Metro 3 car shed, which will be built in Mumbai’s Aarey colony. Now, it seems that the Shinde-Fadnavis government is going to deliver justice to Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput.
Section 144 imposed in Mumbai Maharashtra
In a surprise move, the Maharashtra government has imposed Section 144 across Mumbai for 15 long days. The financial capital of the country will be brought to a standstill for 15 days, November 1 to November 15, which implies that the gathering of more than five people will not be allowed in public places. As per the IPC section and the issued notice there will be a ban on processions, protests or hunger strikes. The use of loudspeakers will be banned. And no social gathering will be allowed without proper permission.

Last, the IPC section was imposed during the political turmoil in the state, as a clash between the supporters of the two groups was feared. At the current juncture of time, there is no such instability. The administration has also not made a lot of things public and has said that the step was being taken to take care of the law-and-order situation. Observing the developments, it signals that this time section 144 may have been imposed in Mumbai to get justice for Sushant Singh Rajput.
Shinde government gives free hand to the CBI
Within a week of announcing the upcoming curfew, the Maharashtra government has restored the general consent to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), thus reversing Uddhav Thackeray’s decision.
In October 2020, the then MVA government had withdrawn general consent to the CBI, which meant that the central agency would require permission from the state government to take over the investigation of a particular case. This was a clear attempt to stop the CBI from probing certain cases that could cause harm to the MVA establishment. This has been an old diktat of delaying investigation, but unfortunately the change in government has opened the gates of further investigation, regarding many high-profile cases of the state like Sushant Singh Rajput Case or the TRP Scam case, the two already lie with the CBI, or anti-corruption probes related to some big shots of the Maha Vikas Aghadi.

What’s brewing in Maharashtra?
It has been very commonly witnessed in the political spectrum of India, that every industry has some sinners and there happens to be its protectors in the political class. The MVA establishment was the same protector of the drug consumers circle of Bollywood. The things happening around the clock suggests that some rashukhvala is going to be arrested, else why would the government of Maharashtra bring the entire state to a standstill.
