Why Bollywood is afraid of Devendra Fadnavis’ return to Maharashtra

The public discourse might have made you believe that Bollywood is the most-apolitical industry. The mega stars often face backlash for the same, for not being politically active, and for not having an ‘opinion’. However, to your surprise, the Hindi film industry and its stars have suddenly acquired a political acumen for judging the situation in the state and rating the respective leaders for the same.

Bollywood cries like dying goats for Uddhav Thackeray

Bollywood and its stars claim to be apolitical, neither they comment on the political situation nor do they have an opinion about the political discourse of the country. While some are too active in the political spheres for their vested interests, one of them being ‘actress’ Swara Bhaskar.

Swara Bhaskar the one pushing for the propaganda of the Left-liberal cabal, has exposed herself and her zero political acumen by expressing her opinion on the current political situation of Maharashtra. Bhaskar in her tweet questioned the election process and said, “Elections ki jagah ‘Bumper sale’ lagaa doh har 5 saal.”

What an unrelenting s**tshow! Hum vote detey hi kyun Hain.. Elections ki jagah ‘Bumper Sale’ lagaa doh har 5 saal.. #MaharashtraPoliticalTurmoil

— Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) June 22, 2022

Simi Grewal too lined up, as she came up in support of Maharashtra’s non-political ‘Best’ CM Uddhav Thackeray and praised Thackeray’s “dignity and integrity,” the reason for praises  cited reasons as Thackeray has no “greed for power, he doesn’t play wily political games.”

Because he has no greed for power, he doesn't play wily political games. It's rare to find a leader of such dignity & integrity as @uddhavthackeray.

The threat perception of Fadnavis

Bollywood is leaving no stone unturned in portraying the Maharashtra situation as a murder of democracy. But Bollywood’s support for Thackeray and his government has exposed the symbiotic relationship the two power hubs share.

The western state was turned into a mess by the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, and the Uddhav government ensured free passes to many sinners and intimidation of many innocents. The intimidation made headlines which were any way suppressed by the Lutyens media, many cases stand in a deposition for the same, like heckling journalist Arnab Goswami, Palghar lynching of Sadhus, sweeping cases like that of Sushant Singh Rajput under the carpet and many more.

Read More: Sushant Singh Rajput case is not about Bollywood anymore, but about Uddhav Thackeray govt itself

The Bollywood Files from the reign of Uddhav government will be reopened if Fadnavis comes to power and the Bollywood stars are going bonkers for the same. Bollywood has become a drug-cartel, however, nothing concrete happened in the case, courtesy to the Uddhav government.

Secondly, the probable murder cases of Disha Salian and actor Sushant Singh Rajput were brushed under the carpet. And the cases were not about the Bollywood but Thackeray himself. Aditya Thackeray angle had also come up in the aforementioned case. Not to forget, the Maharashtra government and Mumbai Police were getting jittery at the prospect of an independent agency probing the case.

One of the other incidents that garnered attention was the widespread protests regarding the Aarey forest. Media and eyeball-hungry Bollywood stars did not want to be left behind and became a major voice in the Aarey protests. They ganged up along with the Ecofascists to destroy the Indian economy and infrastructure development.  They are all set to get their dues after Fadnavis’ return.

Bollywood and its biggies forget that ‘democracy was murdered’ when a winning alliance was broken and a backdoor deal was cracked to form an unholy alliance by the Shiv Sena. However, no matter how hard they try, Devendra Fadnavis is all set to make a grand comeback and the day is not far when he will make these biggies pay for their sins.
