Ramya Pandiyan is an Indian Tamil actress who works in many Tamil films. She was born on 13 August 1990 in Ilanji, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the daughter of former film director Durai Pandian, and niece of actor Arun Pandian, who works in Tamil-language films. Ramya Pandiyan made her acting debut in the film Dummy Tappasu. But it was Joker that gave her a wide recognition and reach. In the year 2016 The team of Ra Ra Rajasekhar recommended her to Raju Murugan who subsequently signed her for Joker.
Samuthirakani appreciated Ramya’s performance in Joker and in 2018 asked her if she was interested in doing a role in Aan Devathai as a mother who works for an IT company.

She auditioned and landed a role in Balaji Sakthivel’s Ra Ra Rajasekhar, but the film did not materialise during that time. She subsequently went on to make her acting debut with the low budget Dummy Tappasu in 2015.
