The Aam Aadmi Party registered exponential growth in the last decade. It got tremendous success in maligning the then-ruling Congress dispensation. It catapulted itself into the political landscape on Congress’ shoulders. However, shallow and destructive policies don’t last in the long run. The masks of Kattar imaandaars are off. People have understood their scoot and shoot strategy.
As per this strategy, they intentionally malign the character or image of their naysayer by throwing frivolous allegations and running away before being caught in the line of fire. However, time and again people with moral convictions have stood against this bullying tactic of AAP leaders. Apparently, it seems that AAP leaders have been caught red-handed again. But this time, they will have to face the dire consequences of their malicious actions.
Delhi LG pulls the plug on AAP Netas
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has issued a clear warning that AAP leaders have crossed the line. As per media reports, he has decided to take legal action against AAP leaders Atishi Marlena, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Durgesh Pathak, and Jasmine Shah. As per the officials of the LG house, the corruption allegations levelled by AAP leaders against LG of Delhi were “highly defamatory and false”.

Delhi LG Vinai Saxena refuted all the allegations levelled by AAP MLAs and called it a “figment of their imagination”.
Earlier, during the proceedings of the Delhi assembly, AAP leaders alleged that Delhi LG Vinai Saxena pulled a Rs 1400 crore scam when he was the head of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC). They accused Vinai Saxena of forcing KVIC employees to exchange demonetized currencies in 2016.

MLA Durgesh Pathak said, ” As the chairman of the Khadi Commission, Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena forced Khadi’s cashiers to exchange his old unaccounted banknotes. Khadi stores had stopped accepting old currency, but Vinai Kumar Saxena forced the cashiers to take his cash and get it exchanged as if it belonged to Khadi. Two cashiers of Khadi exposed this scam. But Vinai Kumar Saxena investigated their allegations and suspended the cashiers. Saxena rinsed the allegations to an extent that CBI never even mentioned his name in their complaint.”

The fact of the said corruption case
In fact, the CBI had already filed a chargesheet in this corruption case. The CBI after thorough investigation found that two cashiers, Sanjeev Malik and Pradeep Kumar Yadav, deposited Rs 17.07 lakh in demonetised currency notes in Khadi Gram Udyog Bhavan’s bank account between the 9th of November and 31st of December, 2016.
The two persons whom AAP leaders are eulogising in the case are actually the prime accused as per CBI’s investigation. However, as per AAP leaders, they are victims of Vinai Saxena’s conspiracy and high-profile network. Apart from that, CBI took action against the two accused for a transaction of Rs 17.07 lakh in demonetised notes. This raises the question as to how come AAP leaders cropped a figure of Rs 1400 crore in the case. Have they any documents to back their claim or will they apologise in court as their master did?

It is to be noted that, unlike previous LGs, the new Delhi LG Vinai Saxena has become a thorn in the eyes of AAP. He was the one who unearthed the Excise scam. Hence, they deployed their usual shoot and scoot strategy against him with the intention to derail his crusade against corruption. However, they forgot that their strategy can be counterproductive against them as it had been in the past.
They should not forget that change is the only constant and not all will be as forgiving as Prithviraj Chauhan. There is no guarantee that they will get away each time by mere apologies for defaming its naysayer. If it continues to deploy this shallow and destructive shoot and scoot strategy then someone like Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena will take them to task and hold them legally accountable for their malicious intentions.
