Vivek Agnihotri began working as a technical person at various renowned Indian ventures soon after finishing the advertising course at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and he worked in the advertising departments of J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather, MacCann, Maggi, Nestle, and P&G.

During a close-up shot, he allegedly asked her to strip and dance in order to give expression cues to her male co-star Irrfan Khan, and he retreated only after Irrfan and Suniel Shetty rebuffed him. Agnihotri was born in Uttar Pradesh in the town of Tilhar. He earned a Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard Extension School after studying at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
