Appeasement lord Gehlot is at it again

Appeasement politics is the biggest villain that has prevented India from achieving the heights it should have attained by now. For political nefarious gains, parties refrain from commenting or acting tough on regressive practices of Abrahamic religions fearing backlash and erosion in their vote bank. Contrary to that, Sanatan Dharma faces needless interjections from politicians, bureaucrats and judges.

The sermons on Hindu festivals have become a norm. For Islamo-leftist cabal and anti-Hindu politicians, Hindu festivals are the biggest source of pollution that needs to be curbed at all cost. Apparently, the same abhorrent politics is being played against Hindu festivals in Congress-ruled Rajasthan.

Police dictate for Hindu festivals

On 4th of August, Kota police issued strict guidelines to sculptors constructing Murtis for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi and Durga Puja. The Police have imposed many restrictions regarding the height and material to be used for making the idols. It has autocratically decided to limit the height of the Murtis to a bare minimum of 3 feets. Further, it has banned the use of Plaster of Paris (PoP) for making deities’ Murtis. It also includes a stern warning that the Police will confiscate Murtis of those who do not comply with these orders.

Apparently, these controversial restrictions have been imposed citing pollution issues. As per the police notice, these idols are submerged into large water bodies like rivers or ponds. These murtis pollute the water and endangers life of aquatic ecosystems.

The notice further reads, “The idols made for Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga Puja and Anant Chaturdashi are immersed in Chambal river and Kishore Sagar pond. This pollutes the water and poses a threat to aquatic animals as well.

If anyone is found making a statue of Plaster of Paris, his statue will be confiscated. At the end of the notice, it is written in bold letters that the height of the clay statues shall not exceed 3 feet.”

It is said that the notice was issued by the SHO of Thana Jawahar Nagar in Kota city to sculptor Mrityunjay Biswas. This knee jerk decision of the police has mounted troubles for sculptors. Many of them had already made murtis whose height is higher than the government decree.

This reprehensible notice lacks any rationale and doesn’t have any scientific backing. These bizarre guidelines raise many questions. Which scientific research suggested this height limit for deities’ idols? Why do such sermons target Hindu festivals?

Is this not the height of appeasement politics?

It seems that appeasement politics will never peak. This is not the first time that restrictions are being imposed on Hindu festivals. Kawwar yatra, Hanuman Jayanti and other Hindu festivals have faced similar restrictions in the Ashok Gehlot regime. Apart from the ban and restrictions, the Congress government in Rajasthan has been regularly dismantling Hindu temples. It seems to be acting on the lines of Aurangzeb.

It will not be wrong to say that these politicians can do anything to win votes and may even ban all rights of Hindu community to win elections. It looks as if time has come for us to ask – is there anything else Hindus can do for such narrow minded politicians?

Why should they stop here? For their appeasement politics, Hindus should be ready to sacrifice everything. From right to worship, right to speak, right to think, eat, sleep or even right to life. Such shameless politicians should be told not to stop here as everyone knows that their CM-ship is far more important than the rights of the Hindu community combined.

But they should not forget that in democracy, the ultimate power lies in the hands of voters. These shameless politicians have been shown their right places and people have rejected this appeasement politics for nearly a decade. They may hamper Hindu festivals like the Maha Vikas Aghadi government did in Maharashtra, but in the end Ganpati Bappa will arrive in the grand manner in Rajasthan as well.
