Shekhar Gupta proves it yet again – Liberalism is nothing but a sham

What according to you is the definition of liberalism? A liberal is one who is open to accepting different opinions and believes in freedom of choices. Does that definition hold true in the Indian political context? Indian liberal coterie and actual definition of liberalism is an oxymoron. The so-called left liberals only follow the autocratic ‘my way or the highway policy’.

The latest victim of their virtual lynch mob is none other than their own darling and ‘crusader of truth’ Shekhar Gupta. His take on the ongoing incident of Mohammad Zubair has invited the wrath of the left liberal lobby. The same people who fired shots through his shoulders and propagated false narrative based on the views of ‘The Print’, have thrown him to the wolves.

Left-liberals and their unhinged approach towards Liberalism

Amid the ongoing debate regarding blasphemy and freedom of speech, The founder and Editor-in-Chief of ‘The Print’ Shekhar Gupta wrote an article regarding his take on Mohammad Zubair’s arrest. In the article titled – ‘Do I have a complaint with Mohd Zubair of Alt News? Here’s why I have 3 answers, No, No & Yes.’ While the article has many debatable and bizarre logics which are hollow to say the least, the left liberal lobby started a hit-job against their serf journalist for sharing his views.

Irrespective of other points in his article, on which Shekhar Gupta and the entire lobby had commonality, ‘liberals’ started name calling him for his last take where he rightly criticised Alt News co-founder Mohd Zubair. His third answer as yes to the main titular question brought a frenzy in the entire liberal cabal. They started calling Shekhar as Sanghi, BJP agent, sold out journalist and Nazi among other derogratory slurs.

What was Shekhar’s third response which made the entire cabal jittery?

In his entire piece, Shekhar Gupta tried to give shield to Mohd Zubair with his obnoxious logic, but with the third take he pointed out that had it not been Mohd Zubair of Alt News, the matter which was entirely confined to boundaries of India would not have been internationalised. He also exposed the hypocrisy of the entire left-liberal cabal. He pointed out the hypocrisy of the left in claiming to be liberal, secular and yet justify violent outrage in the name of ‘Blasphemy’.

In his article he wrote, “…the larger proposition of Zubair and his institution. Left or not, it is liberal and secular. If that be so, do you still believe in blasphemy? What kind of liberalism justifies promoting outrage over blasphemy?”.

He added, “I have zero problem with the Left, as long as they are true to their ideology and do not believe in any god or religion. I have a serious issue with the so-called Left-liberalism which holds this selective view of the right to deliver or endure offence.”

Liberal’s meltdown

The left liberal cabal which is used to hunt in packs, blow things out of proportion and spread fake news are after all not cohesive as a unit. A slight diversion from the script, given from the top, can become the reason for social ostracisation from the gang. The entire left-liberal cabal is fighting an ugly social media war and washing their dirty laundry in the public. The same Shekhar Gupta who once carried out fake claims about Rtd General VK Singh orchestrating a coup, is facing massive on-slaught of abuses and accusations.

One disagreement and they have cancelled Shekhar Gupta. The double digit IQ club is pretty strict about its membership criteria.

— Gabbar (@GabbbarSingh) July 10, 2022

After reading Shekhar Gupta's National Interest column, it can be concluded in three ways:
1. Gupta needs an immediate psychiatric care
2. He doesn't have the spine to tell the truth as it is under the Modi regime
3. Both of the above.

The unfunny actor Ashwin Mushran who twitter bio terms himself as Sasta AtoZ, tried his luck and took potshots at Shekhar for his article.

I have a problem with Shekhar Gupta's take on Zubair – Yes Yes and Yes

— Ashwin Mushran (@ashwinmushran) July 10, 2022

Unfortunately @ShekharGupta is dependent for funds on Biocon and Biocon officials have been arrested for bribery by the CBI. https://t.co/lF2kD3zq7O

— Prashant Bhushan (@pbhushan1) July 11, 2022

All the ‘hard work’ in spreading canards go down the drain for Mr Shekhar as journalist Swati discredits him and calls him ‘editor with zero moral compass’.

This is the problem with zero moral compass editors like Gupta, have no ethics will suck up to power & punch down @zoo_bear who has done far more honest & credible journalism than they ever could

— Swati Chaturvedi (@bainjal) July 10, 2022

Another ‘Journalist’ went whole hog against Shekhar for his take and called him ‘ snake’ and ‘Nazi’.

This moral void is making this dumbfuck argument: if Zubair is *truly* liberal why did he has an issue with Prophet being abused.

Zubair's toenail has more courage & decency that this vacuous mass of hateful shit. pic.twitter.com/8R5CPuNb4r

— Vidya (@VidyaKrishnan) July 10, 2022

This infighting over slight deviation from the main script shows how hollow their standards are as far as ‘liberalism’ is concerned. They are nothing but a bunch of crying adults who find logic to be wrong. If the liberals have the same standard then why double speak on insult to the Prophet and insult to Hindu deities? This unfounded meltdown of the so-called liberals on logical third point yet again proves that liberalism is just a sham, nothing more than that.
