Madhubala – the most talented actress that Indian Cinema ever witnessed ruled the entertainment industry for a long time. Whenever she used to appear on screen, it was always a treat to watch. The decades have passed after her demise and now, Madhubala Ventures Private Limited (established by Madhubala’s youngest sister, Madhur Brij Bhushan, and her partners – Arvind Kumar Malviya, Prashant Singh, Madhurya Vinay and Vinay Malviya) has collaborated with Brewing Thoughts Private Limited (that are producing Shaktimaan trilogy along with Sony Pictures International Productions) to make a biopic on actress Madhubala.
A senior Bollywood critic and trade analyst, Taran Aadarsh, took to Twitter to share a inform about the biopic. He wrote, “MADHUBALA BIOPIC ALL SET TO TAKE OFF… Legendary actress #Madhubala’s youngest sister #MadhurBrijBhushan has teamed up with #Shaktimaan producers #BrewingThoughtsPLtd [headed by ex-film journalist #PrashantSingh, #MadhuryaVinay] for #Madhubala biopic.”

Meanwhile, producer Bhushan spoke to the media and said, “It has been my long-standing dream to do something for my beloved sister, who lived a very short yet momentous life. All my sisters and I have joined hands to make this dream come true. With God’s blessings, and the dedication of my partners – Arvindji, Prashant and Vinay, I am confident that this biopic will be made successfully on a grand level. We need everyone’s blessings to put together this project beautifully”.
Biopic: Actresses who could play Madhubala
The speculations that which actress could play the role of Madhubala in biopic have set the entertainment corridor abuzz. Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani, and Kriti Sanon have been considered for the role. Few reports also suggested that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Bigg Boss fame Shehnaaz Gill will be competing for the role.
While Deepika has played prominent roles in the period dramas like Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani Alia has emerged as a versatile actress. 2022, however, is the year of Kiara as the only Bollywood film which has done a decent job this year was Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Her ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’ also received praise from many. Kriti, meanwhile, has also proved her worth time and again on the big screen.

Born on February 14, 1933, the Venus Queen of Indian Cinema, Madhubala is still believed to be the most beautiful and talented actor in the industry. She made her Bollywood debut at the age of 9 with a romantic musical film ‘Basant’ in 1942.
Starting from the 1940s to the mid-1960s, she worked in 73 films and her role as ‘Anarkali’ in director K.Asif’s ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ is still considered an example of one of the fine works in the history of Indian cinema.
She had even caught the eyes of Hollywood photographers and directors, all of whom were enraptured by her incandescent glow. Such was her grace and beauty that she was bestowed the title of Marilyn Monroe of Bollywood.
No actress can match the beauty and talent of Madhubala in her biopic
Given the fact that, Bollywood has a serious allergy when it comes to casting, it can be said that the entertainment industry will fail to cast an actor who could justify the aura of the veteran actress. Her beauty and her talent were beyond comparison. It would be wrong to say that actresses these days do not have talent. Of course, a few of them are doing well but mind you, not all. Especially those actresses who have been considered for the role, lack the charm that Madhubala had. We cannot expect them to cast an actress who can justify the character. Or I would say there is no artist in Bollywood to project the actress as she was.
