Hinduphobia is real, especially in the West. Don’t believe me? Well, a brief analysis of how the western media and entertainment world works can help you understand that the West doesn’t really like Hindus and anything in their interest. The recent tussle between RRR producer and Oscar winning Resul Pookutty proves the same.
Homophobic statement of Resul against RRR
What transpired yesterday clearly depicts the hinduphobic stance of Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty and the west. In a series of tweets on Monday, Resul criticised RRR calling Ram Charan and Jr NTR film starrer “a gay love story”.
I don't think @RRRMovie is a gay love story as you say but even if it was, is "gay love story" a bad thing? How can you justify using this ? Extremely disappointed that someone of your accomplishments can stoop so low! https://t.co/c5FmDjVYu9

Such a homophobic comment by Resul invited the wrath of RRR producer Shobu Yarlagadda. Shoburetaliated saying that it was disappointing that someone of his accomplishments could “stoop so low”. Shobu tweeted, “I don’t think @RRRMovie is a gay love story as you say but even if it was, is ‘gay love story’ a bad thing? How can you justify using this? Extremely disappointed that someone of your accomplishments can stoop so low!”

The war of words broke out between the two which caught the attention of the netizens. Resul, in response to Sobha’s reply, said that there was “nothing wrong even if it was (a gay love story).” He tweeted, “Agree totally. Absolutely nothing wrong even if it was. I merely quoted2 my frnd, d banter that already exists in public domain and nothing else. There is no stooping factor in this. U don’t have to take it seriously Shobu, I didn’t mean any offense to any stake holders. I rest my case here!”
The west is crying hoarse over RRR
Mind you, Resul is not the only individual criticising RRR movie. The western world is having a delicious meltdown ever since the movie was released worldwide. Moreover, it has been declared a gay movie. One user wrote on Twitter, “Sorry but RRR is a bl movie for me. They are so gay. Idc (I don’t care) about that token white ‘saviour’.” Another one too jumped onto the bandwagon and tweeted, “Jaw-dropping action, yes. Adventure, yes. Revenge, yes. But why did none of you tell me #RRRMovie was so heartwarmingly gay??” A user also tweeted, “Very gay indeed.”
Sorry but rrr is a bl movie for me .

RRR is too Sanatani to be praised by the West
So, what exactly is wrong with RRR? Well, the movie proudly depicts Hindu culture and patriotism. While it does not shy away from showing its lead character as Bhagwan Ram, it also does not dissatisfy when it comes to paying tribute to our heroes who sacrificed their lives for India. In the film, Ram Charan can be seen wearing a Janeau, which of course, is one of the reason that angered the West. How dare they wear their culture on their sleeves? How dare the lead characters playing staunch Hindu nationalists? How dare they represent the struggle of India to oust Britishers?
India’s biggest action drama with a budget of Rs 400 crore, RRR also doesn’t shy away from showing the Sanatan dharma in its shining glory.

Moreover, the RRR song ‘Sholay’ is one song that any Indian shoudln’t miss. The song appearing during the end credits of the movie shows Alia, Ram Charan, and Jr. NTR paying tribute to some of the country’s underrated and unsung freedom fighters and heroes including Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmi Bai, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
By now, you must have understood why the West is fuming after watching RRR. No Indian director in history had dared to depict Sanatani Dharma and nationalism in such a way. However, everything happens for the good and RRR has revealed the true colors of the West.
