The end game for Mohammed Zubair began at the beginning of this month when an FIR was registered on June 1, 2022, against Mohammad Zubair at a Police Station in Khairabad, District Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. He was booked under section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 for insulting the religion and beliefs of Hindu monks.
The wait is over for many who have been wishing to see Zubair behind the bars. Yes, you heard it right. Zubair has been arrested yesterday in connection with a case related to an “objectionable tweet” against a Hindu deity.
Liberals are crying hoarse over the arrest of Zubair
Soon after the news of the arrest broke out, the liberal cabal came out crying like hyenas to support and sympathise with one of their loved ones, that is, Zubair. What if he has been arrested over some serious allegations of hurting religious sentiments of a certain community and also promoting enmity, right? The Police are not supposed to take action against the hate mongers and if they dare to do it, these liberals begin naming it propaganda.

From opposition to editors guild and left-liberal journalists, everyone has left their respective jobs, and for what? Well, only to cast their support to Alt News co-founder.
A look at the delicious meltdown
Ever since his arrest, political parties especially Congress have gone all guns blazing against the Modi govt. While many leaders are naming the arrest a brazen abuse of power, others are going overboard to criticise the government and sympathise with Zubair.
Dr Md Jawaid, a Congress leader, tweeted, “Delhi police did not arrest BJP’s spokesperson who hurt the sentiments of Indian Muslims and Muslims of over 15 other countries but took absolute no time to arrest. @zoo_bear. Law should be equal for all.”

Gargi Rawat, a journalist from NDTV, the flag bearer of propaganda, tweeted, “Journalist who routinely busted fake news, and called out hate speech, especially the recent incident of the BJP spokesperson’s controversial comments on the Prophet, arrested.”

Another NDTV Journalist also tweeted, “Delhi Police has arrested @zoo_bear. But for what? To expose the mindset of few people who don’t think twice before insulting someone’s religion on national TV??”

The Editors Guild of India, too, on Tuesday condemned the arrest of Mohammed Zubair. The Guild demanded his release saying that it is ‘extremely disturbing’. “It is apparent that AltNews’ alert vigilance was resented by those who use disinformation as a tool to polarise society and rake nationalist sentiments,” the Guild said in a statement.

“This is extremely disturbing because Zubair and his website AltNews have done some exemplary work over the past few years in identifying fake news and countering disinformation campaigns, in a very objective and factual manner,” the Guild said.
The letter further read, “This is necessary to buttress the commitments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the G7 meet in Germany to ensure a resilient democracy by protecting online and offline content.”
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not leave the opportunity to attack the central government saying “every person exposing BJP’s hate, bigotry and lies is a threat to them”.
AIMIM leader and MP Asaduddin Owaisi too spewed venom and said arrest of Zubair was a “total violation of due process”. He tweeted, “He’s been arrested with no notice and in some unknown FIR. Total violation of due process. Delhi Police does nothing about anti-Muslim genocidal slogans but acts swiftly against “crime” of reporting hate speech and countering misinformation.”
You see, liberals’ pain is quite evident in their words. Such is their anger against the government that they keep on looking for an opportunity to peddle their agenda and continue their primary business which is hate-mongering. The recent meltdown is only an example of how devilish these leftists could be.
