Rajesh Tope is a politician who belongs to the Nationalist Congress Party. He was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Ghansawangi (Vidhan Sabha) constituency in 2019. He is now the Maharashtra Health Minister in the Uddhav Thackeray government.

In 1991-1992, he was elected as a member of the Senate of Marathwada University. He later served as the District President of the Nationalist Congress Party from 1992 to 1996. In 1997, he became a member of Zilla Parishad from the Zirpi group in Ambad taluka.
After that, Rajesh won the assembly elections for five consecutive years from 1999 to 2019.
He was elected from Ambad and later from Ghansawangi constituencies in 1999 and 2004.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope is considered to be a very loyal leader to Sharad Pawar. He had been a cabinet minister for 14 years in the alliance government. He has also served as the Minister of Higher and Technical Education in the Cabinet. Apart from this, he has also carried out many responsibilities at the party patiently.
Rajesh was first elected Minister of State in 1999. He was in charge of Water Resources, Energy, Environment, Maximum Development, Land Section, Urban Development, Higher and Technical Education, Medical Education, General Administration, and Parliamentary Affairs.

Rajesh Tope was born on 11 January 1969, at Patharwala Khurd in Ambad taluka of Jalna district. His parents are Sharadatai Tope and Karmayogi Ankushrao Tope.
He completed his higher education at BE Mechanical.
His wife, Manisha also appears active in many programs. Manisha Rajesh Tope has also completed his higher education at BE Mechanical. Ankushrao Tope has laid the foundation for development in Jalna district and Health Minister Tope is strengthening it. He has two children, Akash and Disha.
