Let the trumpets roar, Fadnavis is making a grand re-entry

Lies and deceit don’t work in the long run as truth has a habit of coming out. It is a fact that the voters of Maharashtra voted heavily in favour of a BJP-Shiv Sena Hindutva alliance. This political coup on the backdrop of lies and deceits seems to end very soon. As ideologically poles apart, parties of the MVA don’t have the ‘Power cohesion’ they needed to sustain themselves. Devendra Fadnavis, the crusader against the ‘Corruption’ of MVA will soon make a grand comeback at the helm of affairs in Maharashtra.

MLC election: A final nail in the MVA coffin

The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra was formed for the sole purpose of lust for power. Since then everybody knows that if any of the three parties feel it isn’t getting its ‘fair’ share of power, the tripod alliance will suffer an internal betrayal and the coalition government will fall on its own. This is what has been panning out since the humiliating defeat of the MVA government in the Rajya Sabha election in Maharashtra. It started the domino effect which is very soon gonna engulf the MVA.

The humiliation for MVA in RS election, sowed a lack of trust between the three alliance partners causing a split in decisions. This forced them to fight on their own in the recently concluded MLC election. The result of that 10 seat election has finally proved to be the straw that has broken the camel’s back.

Out of the ten seats, the state assembly strength projected the coalition government to get through their six candidates restricting the BJP to only 4. But the sheer brilliance and meticulous planning of opposition leader and Former CM Devendra Fadnavis gave the tripod government the final blow. The BJP registered victory for all its 5 candidates.

All the five BJP candidates Praveen Darekar, Ram Shinde, Shrikant Bharatiya, Uma Khapre and Prasad Lad won their respective seats and gave another shock to the MVA alliance and the later fiasco that is unfolding in the state politics is altogether another level of frustration for the MVA coalition.

State BJP President Chandrakant Patil lauded the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis as BJP had only a strength of 106 with seven independents backing it but it secured 134 preferential votes.

Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis showed his gratitude towards all the members who made this victory possible. He said, “I thank all the MLAs from all the parties as also the independents who helped us and ensured the victory of our fifth candidate. In the Rajya Sabha elections we secured 123 votes. In this election, we secured 134 votes. Right from the beginning, I have been saying there is a lot of anger in the Maha Vikas Aghadi. There is no coordination between the three parties. We had no votes for the fifth candidate but our fifth candidate got more votes than the two candidates of Congress,”.

He added, “The discontent against this government has come to the fore. We shall continue our agitation till we ensure the victory of a people’s party.”

Number game

The BJP required 24 additional votes to get its five candidates elected while the Congress needed just eight additional votes to sail its second candidate. The Sena had a full quota of 52 votes to ensure the victory of both of its candidates. It had three surplus votes. The NCP was short of just one vote to take its tally to 52 votes and get both candidates elected. Whereas after voting everyone got shocked as the numbers were different altogether.

Maharashtra Council Polls:

Shiv Sena-
MLAs in Assembly: 56
Votes received: 52

NCP-
MLAs in Assembly: 53*^
Votes received: 57

Congress-
MLAs in Assembly: 44*
Votes received: 41

BJP-
MLAs in Assembly: 106^
Votes received: 133@Dev_Fadnavis @ChDadaPatil

— B L Santhosh (@blsanthosh) June 20, 2022

BJP candidate Prasad Lad lambasted Sanjay Raut and said that at least 12 votes of the Sena had split. “At least now Thackeray must silence the parrot (Sanjay Raut) who kept saying what can one Fadnavis do.”

While it is true that the three parties have been facing internal revolts and picking fights among themselves which played a major role in this debacle. But the majority of the credit should go to the leadership skills of Devendra Fadnavis who pulled MLAs from the side of so-called Chanakya of Maharashtra Politics Sharad Pawar. He was forced to heap praise on Fadnavis and call the victories as no short of ‘miracle’. This is no miracle as per Devendra Fadnavis but a cause of anger within the three parties and people will soon get a people’s party in power.

The Hindutva cause that was shunned by the Shiv Sena will prove to be the cause of its obliteration. Devendra fadnavis who gave a clarion call for Hindus to wake up, has finally brought entire political spectrum in his favour. His prophecy will come true, he is an ocean who will make a grand comeback and take charge as the new CM of the state.
