No matter how much they try, Congress can’t shed their pro-Muslim legacy

  • The inertia of the Gandhi Family, the top brass coterie does not allow Congress to change its failing ways.
  • The lack of Accountability and ivy tower thinking of Rahul’s advisors are among the prime reasons for failure.
  • Hatred For Indian Civilization, Hinduness of everything or Slave of the Western mentality root cause for such un-grounded stand of the party

The lazy and incorrigible Congress can never be cured of their Muslim appeasement politics. In a fresh bid to change its image Congress directed its workers to organize ‘Kathavachan’ on Ram-Navmi and Hanuman Jayanti, the party-man MLA Arif Masood doesn’t approve of this and failed this attempt in open. It seems the party can only have a consensus to hold the Iftar party but not any Hindu Festival.

Muslim party tag, failed attempt at Soft-Hindutva

The attempt of the Madhya Pradesh Congress to come out of its Pro-Muslim party image has been foiled by their party MLA from Bhopal, Arif Masood. Contrary to the party circular, Masood termed the celebration of Hindu festivals by Congress as “unnecessary” and would set a “wrong precedent”.

The state vice-president Chandraprabash Shekar had earlier asked the party workers to hold ‘Kathavachan’ programs on April 10 and 16 to celebrate the Hindu festivals of Ram Navmi and Hanuman Jayanti. On April 2nd, the party workers were issued a letter that stated that instructions had come directly from State president and Former CM Kamal Nath and he would be delivering a speech to party workers on Ram Navmi and will hold puja on Hanuman Jayanti.

This can be seen as parties another attempt at Soft-Hindutva to woo Hindu Voters that had been alienated because of the pro-Muslim stand of the party. The BJP has taken a hit at the congress and Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, “ Muslims are a mere tool of getting votes for the Congress while showing them the fear of the BJP.”

The Congress party has known its pro-Muslim image among the voters since 2014 when former Defense Minister AK Antony had submitted a report on why congress was routed in the general election. During the Gujarat Election in 2018, the then-party President Rahul Gandhi had started a soft-Hindutva makeover by running temples from pillar to post. But as they say, you can’t continue anything if you are not 100% in it with heart and soul, this political opportunism shredded away and Iftar parties were the places to be at ease with.

The party has earned a widespread moniker as a Muslim party. It has done alliances with Muslim-communal parties like the Indian Secular Front (ISF), a party of Peerzada Abbas Siddiqui, or All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) of Badruddin Ajmal or Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in Kerala.

Dilapidated Congress party and its division

The Congress party doesn’t know how to be a strong opposition and whenever it is in opposition, the party crumbles badly and suffers a major split. Power-hunger seems to be the only binding force that keeps the party intact during its reign. The party has lost all ideological standing and many times opposed the government on matters of national importance like Article 370, surgical strike, vaccination, etc.

Because of all such degraded opposition to everything the party faces rebellion from its core members i.e G23. The main cause of this debacle is the lack of transparency in decision-making, internal party democracy, and incompetence of the top brass with no accountability for the loss.

— TIMES NOW (@TimesNow) November 18, 2020

The Fresh attempt to woo Hindu voters has taken a jolt, alliances with Muslim parties and Rahul Gandhi’s incessant baseless attack on Hindutva and coining of the Fake term “Hindu/Saffron-Terror” to appease the Muslim vote bank will only add worries to the fortune of declining Congress and with splits being the norm the party may even be on the brink of complete annihilation if it continues to hurt the sentiments of majority community i.e. Hindus.

Congress Party’s gut instinct is to oppose BJP no matter what. In so doing it knowingly or unknowingly gets into the laps of the Muslim community. Whether it is Shaheen Baug’s agitation or the Hijab protest. Most voters knew that those Muslims who are already in this country are not affected whatsoever under the CAA laws. The Congress leaders knew that still they had to support Shaheen Baug’s protests. Same thing in the Hijab controversy. The Muslim women are free to wear Hijab everywhere except in the classrooms, but the Congress party had to support the unjust protest even though the Hijab were not allowed in the classrooms when the Congress party was in power. The voters know that now. That is why they are rejecting the Congress party.
