The Yogi model of being tough on criminals and terrorists have gained traction in every corner of the nation, Kashmir being the latest one. Now Kashmir’s Srinagar Police will attach properties used for terrorism.

Recent Development

Srinagar Police in a Twitter thread has explained that it will attach properties used for terrorism. The Police responded to bust all the rumours being floated around this move.

The police made it aptly clear that it knows the difference between willingly harbouring of terrorists and one done under coercion.

The Srinagar Police said the attachment proceedings always come at an advanced stage of investigation and the ignorant once should have proper knowledge that this has been happening under section 2 (g) and section 25 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA),1967. The Police also put forth clearly that the onus is on the house owner, they have to inform police about the forceful entry well in time.

There have been rumours floated by certain quarters regarding info provided by Srinagar Police wrt initiation of property attachments used for purpose of terrorism. Srinagar Police is well aware of the difference between wilful harbouring of terrorists & one done under duress 1/8

Zero Tolerance on Terrorism

The terrorism menace has been looming in the valley for decades now. The state actors of our North-Western neighbour Pakistan have always tried to inflict the maximum amount of pain, suffering and loss of precious human life to us.  Its agenda is to always keep Kashmir on the boil and secede it with India through hybrid warfare and using terrorism as a tool.

Understanding such grave dangers the Security agencies have to be vigilant and have a Zero Tolerance Policy for terrorism. The Security Forces (Jammu Kashmir Police, BSF and Indian Army) had neutralised 630 terrorists in J&K from May 2018 to June 2021.

Yogi Model

The UP CM Yogi Adityanath has been out and out tough on criminals. His “Bulldozer on Mafia” model was on test in the recent state election and the BJP party made Law and order as a poll plank. The Thumping victory for the Saffron party vindicates this tough action. The Yogi model has gained popularity pan India and the model is being repeated by MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other authorities are also following this strict action.

The success of the Yogi Model to improve Law and order situation and Security agencies’ spectacular track record against terrorists will be deadly combination for the terrorists and a big win for India.

maybe our own fault. But we cannot let it continue. Because we made mistakes in past – doesn’t mean it should happen again in future.
